Would be weird. Mihawk's blade was always black , even before Oda came up with the concept of black haki , but maybe this could just be a convenient coincidence
The sword is also black when it's on his back.. why would he coat his swords when cruising aroudn the ocean.. Also Zoro taking a haki imbued slash at the beginning of One Piece ?

considering zoro`s shusi is also black and even before zoro know what haki is it`s most likely black from the begining and it`s not haki thing at least not from it`s user , i did read an interresting theory about black swords being black cause the one who made it fused it with bh haki so it`s blackened all the time and i think it`s very plausible

I'm interested in what happened to Zoro's left eye and why he never opens it. Is it gone? Does he now have some kind of new type of One Piece variety dōjutsu??? What gives???

Then, by chance, do you think since Mihawk's eyes are completely different from any other character you've ever seen in One Piece that it may be possible that he has some apparent advantage because of his eye's? "Stoopid" or not, it could be possible.
Either way, I like the idea that was posed above about the sword maker infusing his/her haki to make the blade black as well as Mihawk infusing his haki in his blade 24/7. Kinda like how Goku and Gohan trained in the hyperbolic time chamber while in SS mode the whole time. It became effortless to them to be in that state.

Other than their abnormal coloration his eyes are no different to anyone elses.
There are no Dojutsu in One Piece. Oda is above that Naruto BS

I feel like black blades are the highest quality of the blades in the One Piece world. Hancock recognized his blade and commented that it was fit for the World's Strongest Man, and the most prized blade in all of Wano, the place that epitomized swordsmanship, is a black blade. This was probably just Mihawk being clever, saying that imbuing your blade with Koka will make it as though it were among the highest class of blades, the black blades.

Its the sword Zoro got from rumia its a black blade that is the hidden treasure of wano.

Kin'emon noticed the black blade Zoro got from Ryuma(can't remember the name, Shusui I think) and he stated it was the treasure of Wano.

#1 - Mihawk's sword (Yoru) is all black and known as the strongest sword in the whole world.
#2 - Zoro's sword (Wado Ichimonji) is one of the 21 O Wazamono grade swords and is black on the backside of the blade. The one he received from Kuina, his childhood friend.
#3 - Zoro's sword (Shusui) is one of the 21 O Wazamono grade swords and the blade is black with a distinct red jagged line. The one he gained from the ghost/zombie samurai Ryuma at Thriller Bark.
#4 - Tashigi's sword (Kashu) is one of the 50 Ryo Wazamono grade swords and is black on the backside of the blade.
I would be willing to bet a million bucks that:
Shodai Kitetsu (Saijo O Wazamono Grade Swords)(i.e. same level as Mihawk's Yoru) has a black blade (never been seen)
Nidai Kitetsu (O Wazamono Grade Swords)(i.e. same level as Zoro's Shusui & Wado Ichimonji) has a black blade (never been seen)
Sandai Kitetsu (Wazamono Grade Swords) Zoro's "cursed blade" and the last & most weakest of the Kitetsu blades is black on the backside of the blade.

Then he must easily be top tier users of CoA, it's expected anyways. I expect him and Dragon to be at the pinnacle of CoA.
Edit: We can probably dismiss the idea of his sword always being coated in CoA because if that was the case, Crocodile's hook would of broke or at least gotten dented.
