So in the end NH had to go though character deaths, being damsel in distress,earth in danger,scarves and main villain loving Hinata,Sakura and Shikamaru and Hanabi being kidnapped and Naruto being fangirled by girls in order to happen

Do you want real romances? Then you were readin the wrong manga, because there were never any:
1.In order for MinaKushi Kushina had to be kidnapped by the evil Kumo ninjas and be saved by Minato.
2.In order for a possible NaruSaku Chiyo had to die + Sakura had to be saved 10x times by Naruto.
3.There was no interaction between Asuma and Kurenai in the entire Part I and the next time we saw them Kurenai was magicaly pregnant with Asuma's kid.
4.The above is true for ChoKarui and SaiIno.

And so on. Probably the ONLY, truly well made couple is ONLY TsuDan (Tsunade and Dan). There wasn't need neither saving or death.

I suggest you to move on couples and read some real romantic mangas like Midori Days, Ai Kora, Shinigami And 4 Girlfriends or Renai Boukun and not shonen fights.

Seriously. For one of the top Shounen mangas of all time, compared to others like it, the romance really isn't that bad. I have far more of a problem with other aspects of the story then the romance.

Seriously. For one of the top Shounen mangas of all time, compared to others like it, the romance really isn't that bad. I have far more of a problem with other aspects of the story then the romance.

I will be honest the romance aspect could have been handled better. But it was never a romance manga in the first place.

you really didn't understand it right, Neji bullied and almost killed Hinata to get revenge from their clan, Naruto kicked his ass and TNJ'ed him...after this he entered the path of redemption.

giving his life to save them both (and their love story) was a great idea, i hated Neji before Naruto ravaged him because he was just bad not badass.

you cannot be a badass if you almost killed a poor innocent girl whom always liked you, whom suffered just like you because of your nasty family rules and never did anything to you.

Kishimoto did him a favor, he killed him as a hero whom saved 2 people in love whom both forgive him for his BS, he could have done far worse

I won't even explain how retarded this post is.

Anyone who tries to justify Neji's death is just stupid. Kishimoto basically treated Neji's death like a random fodder in the story.

He doesn't know how to take care of his characters.

Oh of course. In terms of an actual romantic story it's absolutely atrocious. But looking back at DBZ, where Goku thought marriage was a type of food and abandons his family at the end of the last 2 major arcs, and Vegeta hit it and quit it during one of them, it kind of puts things in perspective that it could've been much much worse.

He introduced some good concepts of characters in the rookie teams, and then did literally nothing with them. Only one from each team had any effort whatsoever put into them, and they were Shikamaru, Hinata, and Gai. I'm being extremely generous when I say he put actual effort into them as well.

Yeah you see this is why Neji's death does not bother me. Because I know there is a lot more issues with him than just his death. A character dieing should feel impactful, not random. All I felt over this was just a shake of a head. Kishi knew how to create a character, just never knew how to develop them. His whole K-11 had so much potential. Yet he never utilized it.

Kishi shatted Orochimaru in the War Arc which serves him no purpose at all, he became totally irrelavant and because of that, he's no longer the best villain in this series, he's nothing more but antihereo. Kishi ruined it like every character that got trolled, and I don't understand how you fail to see that Kishi is a shitty writer...
