I was once a knight in shining armor,
I waged wars, with a heart full of pride.
But it seems I've seen, one too many battles,
The scars are deep, almost deep like my cries.
I'm still a knight, but I've lost my armor;
For my armor were, my heart and my soul,
The two things I've lost, over all hurt and drama;
Too painfull to keep, too painfull to hold.
Lately I roam in darkness,
Running from the thoughts I see;
And endless bane of this haunting,
From which only my dreams can set me free.
Yes the sun is shining bright, and so is my future;
Yet to these truths, I choose to stay blind.
I only see the loves that I've lost,
And the expressionless shadows they left behind.
I waged wars, with a heart full of pride.
But it seems I've seen, one too many battles,
The scars are deep, almost deep like my cries.
I'm still a knight, but I've lost my armor;
For my armor were, my heart and my soul,
The two things I've lost, over all hurt and drama;
Too painfull to keep, too painfull to hold.
Lately I roam in darkness,
Running from the thoughts I see;
And endless bane of this haunting,
From which only my dreams can set me free.
Yes the sun is shining bright, and so is my future;
Yet to these truths, I choose to stay blind.
I only see the loves that I've lost,
And the expressionless shadows they left behind.
