I think alot of One Piece fans are fimiliar with certain comments about Kizaru's DF power:
-Kizaru has a hax DF
-Kizaru technically should be the most OP person in One Piece
-Kizaru can speed blitz everyone
-Kizaru>Kuzan
-Kizaru's ability is being nerfed

Kizaru's Glint-Glint fruit isn't haxed, OP nor being nerfed for being too strong for it has an obvious weakness that was hinted since Saboby Archipelago and was pretty much confirmed in Marineford.

Lets look back at Kizaru's previous fights. Kizaru destroyed the Supernovas and outclassed them in speed. His speed was so fast that Drake and Apoo didn't know what hit them. Kizaru can shoot beams from his fingers and feet that cause HUGE explosions. However, against Rayleigh, Kizaru didn't speed blitz him. At Marineford, he didn't speed blitz Marco or Whitbeard and didn't teleport when Beckmann pointed a gun at him.

Why didn't Kizaru teleport or use his stronger attacks? Simple:

He Couldn't

Kizaru's best attacks and moving at the speed of light takes prep time. He has to glow and charge first. Rings a bell? Have you ever noticed? Every time Kizaru moves at the speed of light or uses "OP" attacks, he has to take time to charge them and time is someting he doesn't have against strong people. He glowed and charged his attacks every single time. When fighting WB, Kizaru glowed amd tried to go after Luffy and it alterted WB. WB tried to stop him but he was too late. Thats why Beckmann stopped Kizaru in his tracks(Kizaru has to charge aka glow before he teleports. That glow would've alerted Beckmann and Kizaru would've been shot.) Thats why Kizaru never teleported or use big attacks against Marco or Rayleigh. All Kizaru is left with are his weaker beams and his blade.

It's true it takes time, but its not like he's completely defenseless or out of luck against top tiers while using it.

As an Admiral, he has Haki. He also likely has Rokushiki considering we've seen Vice Admirals, Aokiji, and even Captains using it.

Additionally, we saw him use Yasatami no Magatama on Marco; however, the latter's devil fruit rendered it useless. So why bother use other powerful beams if they'll phase through?

I think Haki is also being ignored here. Observation Haki can stand as a threat to his attempted blitzes. Someone like WB isn't about to be one shot because Kizaru moves at the speed of light. Hence his use of a ranged attack from the start.

Going back to WB and Rayleigh, if you notice, he hardly comes out injures when they strike him. Rayleigh managed a small cut. Whitebeard couldn't even touch him.

Not to mention Kizaru has only been stopped and injured once by people he wasn't fighting, but decided to intervene. And the second time Whitebeard tries this, Kizaru is fast enough to dodge, land on the bisento, and shoot WB through the shoulder.

The prep time is indeed a weak point that CAN be exploited. But if everything gets serious. It is the one thing keeping Kizaru from being ludicrously over powered. However, that's a weak point that's hard to completely and effortlessly take advantage of. Because he is an Admiral level combatant.

And yes, I'd still say his DF is overpowered. If in part because its an admiral who uses it. It's kind if like, "What if Rob Lucci or a CP-AIGIS0 member had the Hana-Hana no Mi," Kizaru's overal combat strength without it helps dramatically defend its one flaw: prep time. Thus, the distance and range accessible to Kizaru in combat is vastly superior to plausibly every One Piece character. However, people like Akainu who are Haki gods are not going to be taken down by that style of combat, and ultimately will win out.

I think he's overrated and I made a thread saying why I think he's overrated compared to the other admirals. More importantly, I cover his weaknesses.:

I've said this over and over again in this section and I'm far from being the only one :beat:
It seems that there are more people who thinks Kizaru doesn't have a weakness though :beat:

Never said Kizaru is defenseless. Just pointing out his biggest weakness.

Rokuskiki? Good point.

There was a good distance between Marco and Kizaru. Kizaru had time to charge it.

Haki isn't being ignored. Again. Just hackling his weakness.

Kizaru is by no means weak without his DF. His fought Rayleigh with just a blade, dodged WB's attacks without his DF and blocked a kick from Marco. Kizaru's overall combat skill is high and thats a good thing since his DF weakness can be exploited but he can still create oppurtunities to use light speed attacks and stronger beams. Kizaru just can't spam it over and over.
