Kishimoto really illustrated the mood in this panel, We already know that as a mother, having a sick child is terrifying, and summons the urge to protect and what to take it away, almost a helpless feeling. And seeing as how it's Sakura, A medic, the one who can cure poisoning, heal anything, even death, to be in a helpless situation, and not being able to instantly fix her child...thats deep.
I love that he has Sakura by Sarada's side, and then Sarada wakening up surprised her mother never left her side. And for Sakura this had to bring up memories of Sasuke getting his curse mark, which was even more hard for her to deal with.
