Kishi's mistake IMO

In my opinion, Kishimoto's major mistake in the manga was power scaling. If you look at where we came from to where we are now, it makes no fudging sense.

At one point Naruto was amazed that Ebisu could walk on water. Now that means jack squat.

In the beginning of the Manga kunai and shuriken were actually pretty harmful. Now the idea of killing someone with a kunai or shuriken is silly unless the person holding the kunai is Minato...

Kamui. Really? What the fudge? It is seriously the most OP jutsu. Why the heck is Kakashi not blind yet? He's spammed Kamui all over the place, yet he is still fine.

Madara and Hashirama. Period.

Jinton.

At one point summoning animals at all was like. Woah. Then Gamabunta came a long and it was like OMFG! and now it's like ... oh...whatevs

I feel as though the ninja aspect of Naruto has been lost due to powerscaling. I mean why ambush your opponent when you can teleport their head off their shoulders, or put them to sleep with a forest and them smash then with a freakin woodin Buddha statue, or you can cut mountains like a hot knife through ice cream, or you can punch someone so hard they disintegrate, or you could reduce some one to molecules, or you can create giant air tiger with a punch or flames with punches, or use Rasengans larger than bijuus that use yin and yang chakra (tailed beast bombs) with the capacity to wipe out cities, or control gravity, or absorb all ninjutsu, or create giant chakra structures which shield you from damage while allowing you to be even more offensive, or burning someone to a crisp with a inextinguishable fire, etc.

For the most part, I'm okay with the power levels of genjutsu, with the only exception being inifinite tsukuyomi. It doesn't even make sense. How do you project your eye on to the moon without a laser in head. Really think about it. Madara is proposing, I will look at the moon, and in turn my tiny little itty bitty eye's glance will travel lightyears in seconds and project it's self upon the huge giant biggerthananyjutsusofar moon and put the entire world in genjutsu. And I will be alive while doing this and I will not run out of chakra, though regular Tsukuyomi took a lot out of Itachi.
I think the story should have kept some reminiscence of a reasonable power level elevation. Going back and reading old naruto now it seems completely unrelated.

While Naruto is still enjoyable, it has lost it's ninja aspect. I miss the old days when we thought basic Rasengan & Chidori were mystical and over powered.

Now there's TBB, Kamui and hundreds of other jutsu that make the old Rasengan look like a water pistol put against an AK-47

Never even stated it, it was a critique on it. So how about learning the difference between not liking something and not liking aspects of something.

My point was obviously not that I didn't like Naruto, because I do, but that it's really not Naruto anymore in terms of many of the things that used to be. It's now a unique version of DBZ

Kamui may be OP but, Obito does not have a brother. What I mean by that is soon the MS will lose it's light and won't be replaced. I think the Senju DNA is having an effect on his MS because he uses it all the time it should of been gone by now. Also the eye power is split up, one to Obito other for Kakashi.

Fully agree with you. I miss the part where ninja battles put more emphasis on tactics and strategy than sheer power.

Then to acquire a new skill....you really have to work hard...probably years. Now...just ask Ino to put her hand on your head....do a Skype call to anyone with the skill you need...have a Matrix like teaching in seconds and viola....you are up'd

i mean that is how it is with every anime pretty much is. I mean look at DBZ. when frieza first went his second form ( looked like king cold kinda) it was a HUGE deal. Power level ova 1,000,000 was the episode name or some thing. And then fast forward to trunks and he takes frieza out like he is trash.

I agree, the powerscaling is one thing I dislike about naruto now. It was perfect in part 1 and at the beginning of part 2 but then the rinnegan and all of the other MS abilities bullshit came in and ruined everything.

If powerscaling continues at this rate. Within the last 200 chapters, we've seen a jutsu that destroys you a molecular level, bijuu bombs, a punch that can disintegrate, and if that isn't OP enough Madara's Katon, but know, then we see not 1 but 2 giant meteors, and nope that isn't even enough, then we see a forest that makes the meteors seem much smaller and that forest has sleeping gas, and that itself is not OP enough, then there is perfect Susanoo that cut through 3 mountains like it was nothing, and PS was made into nothing but the wooden Buddha who held the nine tails like a pet kitten and beat PS off of him. If this rate of power scaling continues a new planet will be necessary.

There are ways around that. For instance, let's use wonder woman as an example her villians are all powerful, and she they don't need i'm gonna cut apart mountains power to remain relevant. So it's possible to create a story that doesn't powerscale like Naruto or DBZ but it takes more creativity.

However your talk about light years and seconds make no sense.All it takes is one glance as the time it takes light to bounce off the surface of the moon and back to your eye is so fast the time delay is insignificant.

Kishi is trying to create an epic finale to his manga and it's creating the opposite effect.
The story is not coming together, the is too much on just 12-15 pages

They were bound to be powerful from the beginning that was a basic genjutsu it wasn't even supposed be that strong. Strong genjutsus like Kurenai's were supposed to be able to bound you and potentially kill you. Which is why it was a major skill.

It was a bit of hyperbole. The moon is not actually light years away, but being able to project your eye without a major light source behind your eye doesn't make sense. If the Narutoverse's moon acted just like a mirror for eye's everyone's eyes could reflect off of it. So there needs to be a projector type thing and I'm assuming you know how a projector works.
