They don't need Naruto to end the mugen tsukuyomi. He can die, and the movie is confirmed as non-cannon. The other 5 movies also have not been cannon. (Remember the one where Naruto met the 4th Hokage, but in the series didn't recognize him?)

Minato erased the memories of everyone at the end of that movie. (To avoid mixup in the time.) Also, Road to Ninja was in the manga. (Well a side manga.) Also, where was it confirmed that the new movie isn't canon?

You are forgetting there are always two sides to the same story. Naruto could be called a killer or a hero by us, the readers, the spectators of everything. The ones that interpret and give a sense to things are us, not anyone else. Madara is irrelevant at this point in time. His character at the moment only serves as a reference for the future generations to learn from the past mistakes.
