Itachi knew about the Uchiha's past and prob couldnt risk the Uchiha children to try to form another take over when they would grow older

Itachi killing his clan was the lesser of two evils. Hypothetically speaking if the coup by the Uchiha was successful who is to say that they WOULDN'T harm the children and the elderly? Itachi prevented the death of possiy hundreds of innocent people.

Making a 'top class hero' from someone who killed little children, woman and eldery people... I don't care Itachi 'had no choice', he did it.

He saw Uchiha-children playing, having fun, children laughing, children don't thinking about war, children with a future, children with a CHANCE... He killed all of them because a guy named Danzo blackmailed him...

Why don't you get off your high horse, you probably have a George Washington poster on the wall. The greatest hero that brought slaves, murdered women and children, raped the women, and shot Indians for sport. What a great hero right. One of the great founding fathers of this nation and we all carry him in our wallets. What a wonderful country we live in right. You're the one who doesn't understand, what women and children, they were all shinobi and everyone was trained to be a soldier. I hope they bring back the draft so they can take the children away from their parents who spoil them rotten and put them to work.

Itachi didn't have a choice in the matter.

Do you really think that those children would have understood what happened? The entire Uchiha clan (all the adults...all of them) wanted to start a coup. They seemed to be dead set on going foreword with their plan. If Itachi let the kids survive, there would be 30+ little Sauske's wanting revenge. Now babies could have been the exception, but even then, the the chances of that baby learning about how his clan was massacred probably would have lead him/her down the same path of Sauske. It was a no win situation for Itachi...and he knew that. But he also knew that if the Uchiha rebelled, a civil war would have probably done even worse things (cycle of hatred all over again...).
