Reading the profile on Danzo on the Naruto Wikia, allegedly in the Jin no Sho, Kishi's early concept art for Itachi was supposed to look like this.

Jeezus! He looks terrible. I don't get a true shinobi/loving brother vibe from this Itachi. Rather a creep villain vibe, who would try to panty peep all the girls in Konoha. Or maybe a character in a fight or another shonen manga.

Also the page said that some of Itachi's inital designs were used in crafting Danzo. Most notably the 'X' on his chin.

Be thankful for what we have.

The original drawing for Itachi looks like Danzo and Itachi did the fusion dance o_o or something strange fused with Danzo lol one or the other
