i think he weakened it immensely because it was too overpowered if he didn't
just look, this scan shows us Amaterasu instantly burning through the Eso****us of a toad
or am i missing something here?

There is conflicting evidence in the manga to say the least. Itachis from what we have seen dies what it's supposed to burning through the toad stomach and Nagato seemingly instantly. On the other hand sasukes has hit a couple of people including random fodder samurai and it has never actually done much damage.

Weird since sasuke is supposed to be the expert in Amaterasu.

It was fine with Itachi....
It has it's risks and limitations...

But when it was given to Sasuke, it was made to protect that insolent weak, hence it's limitations were cancelled... Then, Ama started spoiling the story line hence, it should've been weakened and was done...

if you think about it, yes, it does. current amaterasu can't burn the target instantly unlike the amaterasu in part 1.

No. Amaterasu just burns faster when its user is focusing his eyesight on target. Look at that scene. Itachi burned through frog stomach in seconds, yet when he was out of the picture the flames werent enlarging the hole at all.

Thats the reason why Karin and that fodder samuri survived. On the other hand, Sasuke crisped Danzo almost instantly.

I think a lot of this comes down to the amout of chakra one put into a jutsu. A genin using a fireball jutsu compared to a jonin level fireball jutsu, ( same jutsu, not an upgrade like great fireball annihilation) could have drastically different output due to the level of training with the jutsu as well as the amount of chakra used to perform it.

After 100 tbbs we've seen, what did it actually kill? Some fodders? And u needed juubi for that.

Danzo disappeared into oblivion in a second. Hachibi was almost completely engulfed by flames within a few seconds. Amaterasu burns through the target extremely fast if the eye is focused on it. You have to keep the 'focus' point into your mind.

I agree with this. That samurai should have died almost instantly.
