All of the reviewers suck. If Kishi can even read english it'd be more fitting for him to come here than some monotone white guy with as much charisma as Vin Diesel talk obvious plot points, other people's theories and stating the obvious about what he read in a manga we've all read.

Do NOT get the appeal with these guys.

KOL planned on going to meet Kishi with a shirt having the Kanji saying "4th ninja war arc was shit" or something like that. Even though that would have been really rude I would have liked to see Kishi react :lol:

Haven't read all the replies but to me it seems like clever damage limitation. Kishi's guys kicked Sawyer out of the toilet and realised that could backfire on them. So clever and fast backtracking.

He doesn't speak English and has stated that he wasn't aware of the Western presence until the manga was coming to a close. Youtube JP doesn't have automatic Jap subs either, so he's either not actually watched anything or somehow got them translated.

Or he's just sat there watching the videos without understanding a word (luckily for him), filling his ego.

Or it was his mates the Viz guys who accompanied him in washroom whom the reviewer thought to be his bodyguards, recognized the youtuber and decided to mention him for reaching out more fans. for It's promotional event for movie release after all. Or he might have been shown the clips after reaching NY...and spotted him as one of the guys in one of those videos...

I find it funny when people are suggesting he is a subscriber for his video. smh.

They probably escorted him off the premises with that kind of T-shirt. Or if Sawyer went back to that washroom he might have found him tied up in the last booth or something.

Exactly how it would backfire on him? You don't stalk people in washroom. If he complained about it and tried to bash them for it , he would be the one looking like an idiot, yourtuber or not.

I am not sure why people take these reviewers so seriously. Although I must say this one is ok and acts normal. Some of them are too much in to hamming.

Pretty underdtanding actually bearing in mind the language barrier. But the body guys kicked him out. How would it backfire? Well Sawyer shared his story and could have called them out for how fans were generally treated by the organisers who made false promises. I don't think it would reflect well. A lot of fans are very disappointed by how the organisers handled things. Kishi reaction in the interview felt like he realised later on who this guy was and was really trying to avoid backlash imo

What false promise you are referring to? It's tiresome it is to fly to USA from Japan - jet lag takes like 3 days or more to get over with even if you can rest and then having schedules for whole day on daily basis and being center of attention constantly not having a time for oneself etc. Stalking someone to washroom is just too much and inconsiderate, although I don't blame him for trying seeing he went their for the very purpose.

Hang on a min. I didn't say kishi I specifically I said the organisers. Of course i don't expect the man to meet every single fan. About 100 won a raffle ticket to meet him but only a few were actually let through. The whole event was badly organised apprantly and many fans were left disappointed with how they ran things.

My point about Sawyer was he probably only asked once and was checked out by the guys. Kishi didn't order him out. But he could have ranted on YouTube about it if he was less classy

Sawyer was having a bad time that moment, and to lift up his mood he agreed to go to NY with the given ticket for the sake of the person who couldn't go instead.

What's more, Sawyer was even determined to actually get the stuff shoved in his hands to be signed by Kishi as per request. He tried his best to do so, since he got there because of other people's charity. The least he could do to repay back was to get that freakin' sign, and he didn't do it for himself anyway, he didn't even think about it since he was aware that he wasn't as enthuthiastic as other fans regardless his own interest in Naruto series.

So for me, somehow, I feel bad for Sawyer at that time for being kicked out, but I could understand why of course. It's just... Whatever it is, good for him. Kishi is still an admirable mangaka, thus getting a chance meeting him in person is awesome enough.
