Everybody gets ideas from others, whether on purpose or not. Else we would get some pretty lame stuff.

All manga's have idea's that can be seen as being stolen from others. Their creators could be influenced by it, yeah. But Kishi made it his own. It really is annoying with all this "Kishi pulled a bleach!" "Kishi is copying off of DBZ!" "Kishi took Amaterasu from his brother's manga!"

People are allowed to be "touched" by anothers work and form a similar idea; as long as they edit and use it in a unique way. That, and wasn't Edo Tensei first shown in chapter 100-something? That was back when, before 04? When did Full Metal Alchemist do it?

Homunculi work differently
They can die when killed a certain amount of times depending on how many lives are in their philosopher stone
They're not zombies
And father doesn't have complete control over the homunculi
Ex. Greed who turned on him twice

They are a little different but not as though kishi copied and pasted

How could he have stole something thats been in every cultures stories since civilization started writing stories? They even got a zombie in the bible.

Resurrections always lead to special properties because of the nature of the resurrection.

The Naruto manga came out in 1999. The Full Metal Alchemist manga came out in 2001.

Edo tensei was mentioned very early in the series.

I doubt Kishimoto stole the idea.

Nah, Naruto was before FMA with edo tensei. I think Naruto even reached the first use of edo tensei before FMA had even started....

Yes, but Naruto came out in 1999. The first Edo tensei came out around chapter 100. There are 52 weeks in a year. So the initial idea of Edo tensei came out at least two years before Full Metal Alchemist even published. Kishimoto tends to plan things extensively, like the manga itself, where he knew the ending before he even got past Shippuden. Again: I doubt he stole Edo Tensei.

im pretty sure the FMA manga started before the Naruto one .. although i could be wrong . but either way Edo does not require a philosopher stone .. so /thread
