They....what? I don't think that's how I read that part of the interview.

I thought Kishi said he left it up to the reader's imagination how they got chummy with one another. I remember the interview said that at the time when Karin was getting healed by Sakura---> Even though they were mutual enemies, they still understood one another. That's the kind of nuance Kishi had in mind. Kishi was answering why he cut Karin's flashback scene in favor of more Uchiha family panels.

I'm fairly sure he didn't say they bonded over....that.

Dude its a high school crush not love lmao they are 30 now Karin is smarter and knows what she wants and isn't a dumb bimbo like Sakura is.

I disagree, Karin and Sakura helped each other from the first time they met, Karin warned Sakura about Sasuke's attack from behind, and Sakura refused to kill Karin and healed her injuries.

I don't think It's unrealistic, I think It's a friendship between two adult women, who were rivals in love at some point, but they always support each other.
Besides, since Ino gave up on Sasuke, It´s possible that Karin did it too, eventually.

I like Karin more now, because she's matured and has respect for Sasuke's choice. And she helped delivered Sarada. There's a hint she still has feelings for Sasuke, but she has decided to move on. That is why she's my favorite female character, especially because she's a ride or die type of chick.
