So some people speculate that Kishimoto's just coming up with things as the manga pushes on, but I belive he's had everything planned out, and has made minor changes to the story as he writes. The fact that Danzo has always had an eyepatch is proof of this. He's had it since part one, and finally midway through part two, Kishimoto shows us why he's been wearing it the whole time. There are plenty more things in the manga that validate this. I'm not going to list them all. There's also a lot of symbolism that shows how far ahead he's thought up everything. Anyways I was just reading a Danzo thread so I thought I'd throw that out there. Give respect, where respect is due, you know.

Maybe. But he's also doing major asspulls. He created an awesome, immortal character-Madara, and since Maddy got too strong he didn't know how to defeat him so he did an asspull with BZ and Kaguya bull .

So you're telling me that because Madara was too strong and he didn't know how to defeat him he introduces an even stronger character, that is even harder to defeat? No he was probably just making a joke when he said that in the interview.

EDIT: Nice SIG by the way.

How was that an asspull ? People should stop saying this shit . Madara's end was perfect for him , his own character supports that perfectly . His own arrogance made him get killed by his "ally" . Not all OP villains should be defeated in a fair way .

It's known that Kishimoto has known the story ending for years, just not the exact path to get there. So some of the things going on right now he is making up as he goes.

I know this, that's why I stated "he's making up some things as he goes along", but his ability to plan ahead is impeccable.

I'm just saying I haven't seen that many manga's who have planned so far ahead, and who have shown so much symbolism so far ahead of time. We're on chapter 680 currently, and a mangaka has to be pretty good at their job to be able to keep a story going for so long, while keeping the story relevant to its original plot.

How can it be an asspull if it does not contradict what happens in the story it was foreshadowed obviously and goes along with the story. People who agree with something decide to call it an asspull

Shonen Jump: Oda-sensei says he knows how One Piece will end---do you know how Naruto will end?
Masashi Kishimoto: Yes, I have the last episode clearly drawn in my mind. I've already decided on the layout, text, and scenes. Not just the story ideas, but the visual ideas are solid.
All I have to do is just head toward the ending I have, but there are still so many things that need to be resolved before reaching that point. Maybe I have thrown in too many ideas, so I need to wrap them up neatly.
This is from the 2006 interview Kishi gave to SJ.
And yes, he, as all good writers do, does think ahead.
