The MS being able to use techniques "outside of time" is simply broken.

MS + Izanagi means you can fight as much as you like, end up dying, but then rewind time for yourself and continue doing as you please...

There is something wrong with this.

Izanagi was a good technique before, but being able to use it after dying pushes it over the top. Losing an eye is not even a real drawback anymore since you will gain a free life.

Yeah, and then after the 2nd time when you are blind, you get killed and you stay dead. There is nothing broken about this. Not to mention you become weaker by losing an eye, so it becomes easier to kill you the second time.

Madara extended the time for it to have effect.

He activated it after the wound on his chest got inflicted though, that's why the wound was still there.

Nope. It is activated after the fight. Madara can restore himself and his chakra and while Hashirama is sitting there tired.

Madaras goal is to get Hashiramas DNA and get closer to the power of Sage of six paths [At that moment]...

In order to do that he had to fake his death [so a delayed Izanagi seems to be a perfect idea] :/

Akira Toriyama was his idol, death meant very little in Dragonball series.

Nope it was programed into his eye like itachi did with Amateratsu for Sasuke and Kotoamatsukami for the crow he gave to Naruto.

Madara programmed the eye to use that technique so that the eye would use it at that time irrespective if person is alive or not, just the eye should be fine(not crushed). It's the same thing Itachi did to sisui's eye and placed it in Naruto so would react to Itachi's Amaterasu(which was given to Sasuke by Itachi) and it would react an place him under the genjutsu.
This is same, while the the program was pretty late here, and the command was to bend reality and bring back Madara to life, as he per his plan so he would be back alive, also he knew he couldn't defeat Hashirama as he was too strong at that time.
