Oop, sorry I guess it wasn't an arc but rather just two randomly placed episodes in Shipuuden. There was "Road to Sakura" and "Prolouge to Road to Ninja" both are pretty self explanatory... could have sworn they were their own arc, but regardless it was bizarre enough seeing these in the anime to begin with.

Those were just special promos though, just like the Mecha Naruto special. They aren't supposed to be a part of the story.
