Kabuto threw out some unpredictable stuff as well. Its just that the character Itachi is a boss.
.Kabuto didnt even have all body powers and he almost won from an EMS user and an MS edo user at the same time. Not a 1 on 1, but a 2 vs 1. What more proof do you want that someone with body powers, is a match for eye powers.
Naruto, one who uses body powers, could fight with Nagato, one who uses eye powers (which are even the eye powers you are talking about cause Nagato has Rinnegan).
Jiraiya would have won from Nagato, if he had more intel on him. These are Nagato his words.
Jiraiya uses sage mode, a body power. Two sages (Naruto and Jiraiya, who can handle the Rinnegan) and another sage, Kabuto, who can take on an EMS user and an MS edo user at the same time.
That are some great feats.
I dont think the power of the eyes grant you much more.
You even need a body power (Mokuton), to unlock Rinnegan (irony lol).
The body has several powers as well, but they just work differently.
Sage mode is a body power.
Toad sage mode Naruto has frog kata for jutsus.
Of course he gets insane awareness, sensing power, increased speed and reflexes (both on a higher lvl than sharingan can see and dodge attacks imo) but those arent jutsus in itself. They are passive.
Dragon sage mode Kabuto has

These jutsus are like extreme super boss to the Boss!
xd .He gets all kinds of abilities like snake eye lids, to cover his vision vs dojutsus and he has insane awareness, sensing power, increased speed and reflexes (both on a higher lvl than sharingan can see and dodge attacks imo) as well.
Mokuton is a body power and this ability grants loads of stuff.
Healing without seals, merging with plants and the earth, Wood dragon that supresses chakra, Tree world, Flower Tree world, Wood clones, absorbing chakra, copying ones appearance down to ones chakra (I assume this last one due to Zetsu being able to).
More passive body powers are high renegeration, special and great chakra reserves, great life force, stamina and talent in sensing.
Juugo gets quite some power ups in his sennin mode as well.
You get loads of stuff if you have all the right body powers.
In addition, being Kurama his host is not possible for everyone. So basically this is only for those with a strong body. Giving tons of abilities with Kurama his chakra as well. One of the strongest being the bijou bomb.
The ability to survive bijou extraction isnt useless either
.Sure the body power powers work a bit different than the eye power, it being the eye power Rinnegan, that you mean with eye power or the other eye powers like sharingan, ms, ems with their jutsus.
You dont yell ''shinra tensei'' or ''amaterasu'' and the likes, but the body has plenty of stuff as well really.
Its maybe less obvious, but its there.
I really dont see the body powers (and I probably even still forgot some) being inferieur to the eye powers.
