I'm not even a Madara fanboy lol. I'm looking at this from a critical writer's perspective, and Kishi royally screwed up on this one.

And Obito's gotta be one of the most immature characters of the manga. The reason he did anything was because Rin, his 14 year old crush, died and he kept that grudge into his late 20s.

Flashbacks show that she also had control over the God Tree like Madara and Obito did. And Black Zetsu was created when Madara was connected to the Gedo Mazo, but is Kaguya's will. Its strongly hinted that she became one with the God of the verse.

Madara is foreshadowed ever since Part I and Obito was his right hand, who also has extremely close relation to Kakashi, and similarity to Naruto to make him very important.

Kaguya is some character that we saw one pannel flashback of, a couple of chapters ago, and now she is revealed as grand-master-mind, but has zero connection to Team 7?

She has a few connection to Team 7.

1.
Naruto /bloodline and the nine tails

2.
Sasuke and his sharingan /bloodline

3.
Team 7 chakra abilities came from her. When Kaguya ate the fruit , she became the first person to have chakra.

4.
The whole war is based on stopping a technique that came from her.

Etc.
