Actually Sakura was going to kill Sasuke she had given up hope in him, but it was Naruto that assured her Sasuke could be saved and "inspired her to not give up hope," this is the same guy that is befriending the monster that impaled his parents and befriended Obito the man behind his parent's death and many other deaths in this war. In the valley of the end Naruto was killed at least three times by Sasuke, and both times that Naruto has seen Sasuke since then he has been attacked by him and Naruto still calls Sasuke his "brother" and best friend.

That's the guy Sakura is looking up to, and I could honestly see where u were coming from if all of this was of Sakura's originality, but it wasn't she is simply part of the manga's plot of forgiveness and redemption.

OT: What long lasting abuse? Sasuke outright rejects her before defecting from the village. After he acquired MS, he saw everyone who belonged to the leaf as an enemy, hence tried to kill them not only sakura. Also she tried to kill him first so it goes both ways. There is no relationship so you can't say she's co-dependent or abused or sasuke is the abuser lol.

0.1% chance to heal? So naruto has to act like a new parent and re-educate? I forgot sasuke was still evil and wanted to destroy the village. I agree with the power matching part as that was the original plan of sosp, to be able to know each other's feelings through chakra.

So naruto is the only one allowed to believe that sasuke will go on the right path again? Sakura places her trust in naruto to bring sasuke back coz he's strong enough. It doesn't mean she has to stop believing that one day he'll return to who he once was.

Basically you're applying real life scenarios to fiction. I don't think sasuke's history can be replicated in real life.

Interesting that you assume that tween girls reading Naruto are looking for the romance - there's a separate genre for that. I admit that most of them like the male characters (Akatsuki, Uchiha brothers.)

I agree that Sakura and Naruto are both rescuers, whereas Sakura stands to lose a lot, Naruto not so much. I also believe that Sakura is seen (by the readers) as weak for her actions regarding Sasuke, so at least her bad decisions aren't idealized.
