Kishimoto knows that if they call a character that we grew up since we were 'kids' would be bad business. If I ever feel like watching boruto, I'll probably do it because of the old cast. If they get killed then there's no reason for me to continue this work. He knows it. They can kill the other kages and that could work but killing naruto or sasuke? R-RIGHT. Good luck with that.

Yea I know but it only happened after the Pain arc that Kishi just doesn't have the ballz to kill off anyone importance. Who knows maybe the old characters are likely to die cause they are the outcast

They probably will have to go down that line to give Boruto the stage. Since he is Naruto's son so Naruto is kind of in the way. Sasuke - not that sure. He may just pair up with Boruto for battling the big bad like he used to with his father. (Though that would mean Sarada remains in the background unless writer makes real effort to include her in.)

What makes you think he's important when Neji didn't get any development at all in part two and the first panel he appears in after a long time is when he got shot down by Kishi cupid mindset. :umm: This means Kishimoto only pulled Neji out of nowhere to kill him and use him as a plot device/fodder. The problem here is it is super obvious and that shouldn't be the case.

I didn't say that, did I? So why assume? I was referring to general outrage I saw on the boards after his death.

As for Neji well they needed some excuse to shoehorn the love story. I don't really care for pairings or I would ship Naruto/Sasuke.

I don't think the writer will kill off Naruto and let Sasuke live. Also if he kills off the two the series will seem even bland then it was before. My experience with next gen series is that they try to make copies of the originals and do some tweaking but it never works
