Kishi must have wanted to see the next levels of a super saiyan.
So he pulled out a NV version of SSJ(3/4/5) by showing Madara as the Juubi Jinchuuriki.

But i dont think madara currently looks very super saiyan. He doesnt really have a aura, or energy being emitted by him. He doesnt look like he just got much stronger, he just looks like he got more boss looking.
