We are supposed to see resemblances with both Sasuke and Naruto, I believe. It would make sense seeing as they're both descendants of the sage. Trying to claim that one is going to be the new SO6P over the other isn't going to lead anyone anywhere.

Here's how it is straight up... THEY'RE BOTH obvious reincarnations of the Sons of the Sage, being that Naruto's blood is diluted, technically Sasuke's lineage to the Sage of Six Paths is stronger, but Naruto is the child of Prophecy, he's destined to bring peace into the Shinobi world one day. (Anti-Climatic ending for Naruto, what would be the point of Shinobi villages is there's eternal peace?) He resembles the Sage's ideals down to the absolute core, which solidifies his legacy as the next Sage, well half... Giving Naruto a Dojutsu is pointless, and I'm pretty sure it'd kill Naruto and Kurama to become the Jinchuuriki of the Juubi. And pretty sure Killer Bee and Naruto has to die in order for the Juubi to complete, but I think if either of them become the Jinchuuriki of the Juubi, I'm pretty that mass amount of Chakra would destroy their living bodies. But .... Hey, I wanna see where Kishimoto goes with this... Also, it'd disturb the balance of Naruto and Sasuke's rivalry as well. You have to tie everything in together.

Sasuke has only his hair-style matching with SO6P that too in some pictures only.
And No, Sasuke's EMS can not read Uchiha Tablet completely. Rinnegan is required to decipher the Uchiha Tablet completely.

Naruto has acknowledgement of 9 Tailed Beasts, 1 acknowledgement of Toad Sage and more similarities of SO6P in KM/BM, capability of perfect SM.

So IMO overeall it favors Naruto more than Sasuke.

Beside Sasuke Uchiha being the direct descendent of the SO6P rather than the Naruto Uzumaki (which is half Uzumaki),Sasuke uchiha has been compared more to SO6P than naruto at different occasions

This is how Rikudo Sennin is supposed to look.We have never seen his face in the manga ,only a shadow version of his appearance and his eyes (Rinnegan).We have never seen his entire face or body

It's impossible for sasuke to be So6p reincarnation, it's just impossible. Sasuke doesn't represent what the sage tried to pass on.

The only way for sasuke be related to something like that is Sasuke himself being the So6p. He is pretty much screwed in this timeline, so he comeback in time and all the storyline become a living prophecy. That´s the only way .

This guy does have a point. If you really look at it madara, obito, itachi and every uchiha as well as senju are closer o SO6P than naruto (even though he has been referred as having something special). Guys you know kishimoto rarely does things like this look at the comparison of the pictures they are v similar even the hairstyles match (remember tobi -obito).

I think this is gonna be a swallow your words event when it's shown in the manga. I respect the OP it's wild but it has some ground.

He solo'd the 10 tails and had a strong enough body to seal it within himself. Do you actually believe he had no power?!

By no powers i mean no ninjutsu. You can't create all the jutsu of the naruto verse if they already exist. Did he create ninjutsu before or after the 10 tails fight. If he created ninjutsu before the 10 tails fight and had fight it alone thats pointless. The rinnegan doesn't have any nature affinities. The sages didn't have any nature affinities, they just help you mold and control chakra. Now we know so6p knew the toad sage so basically he knows the whole "frog fu" thing. If he was the only one who could fight this chakra monster before there were these advanced sealing techniques how would he have been able to do it? Starting with the byakugan, he had the perfect field of vision for his attack and with the hyuga style of neutralizing chakra points he slowly began to weaken the 10 tails. Then he turns on the byakugou and shifts to sage mode when he realizes the true power of the beast, and using frog fu he only manages to do a slight bit more damage to the 10 tails. The 10 tails grabs him and succeeds in draining his chakra, but he can't control the sage chakra and turns to stone. The so6p is left with a small amount of chakra, so he powers up his byakugan and tries to break the stone but he cannot succeed. He tries to draw out every little bit of power he can and the strain put out from the byakugan causes his eye to change and he develops the rinnegan. With the rinnegan he then drains the 10 tails chakra that he can contain then seals the rest of the beast in the "moon". Everything else is then developed through the rinnegan.
