These characters were supposed to be the coolest in NV but kishi trolled them pretty badly

Shizune; first student of the 5th hokage, all the student surpassed their sensei except shizune.

Baki; personal assistant to the 4th kazekage, and yet again a fodder

Genma; when he was introduced during the chuunin exams he became my fav character until later when I found out that he is fodder

Ebisu; an elite shinobi(rotfl).. If I was kishi I would give him the rinnegan, yah we have never seen his eyes so maybe that might be a nice plot twist and I have this strong feeling that he is madara's trump card.

Iruka; that guy took a large shuriken to his back and survived, a feat many shinobi were not able to accomplish. Even madara took a kunai at the back by a wood clone and die

Well Iruka did survive on his own during Pein's attack....O_O
