Kishi Trolls: from Epic to Fail

There is just one annoying thing about naruto plot.

Kishimoto first creates a hype about a certain jutsu or person, then takes it to the prime and epicness and then brings it down very badly…

Either by spamming that jutsu or making it ridiculously weak compared to another jutsu…

Following are some of the examples:

1. Sharingan (1st arc as elite dojutsu)

2. Byakugan (1st arc as ancestral jutsu of sharingan, should seem more powerful)

3. Rinnegan (pain arc, then madara and now probably sasuke)

4. Mangekyo (first itachi was shown then whole lot of others)

5. EMS (madara spamming then sasuke)

6. Susanoo (first invincible, then brought down)

7. Summoning jutsu (3rd arc)

8. Edo tensei (too much hype and spamming)

9. Totsuka blade (couldn’t stop oro)

10. Reaper death seal/ shikifuijin (failed to keep kages and oro’s arms, seemed perfct fuinjutsu)

11. Kakashi (as 1000 jutsu copier)

12. Itachi (as true heir of sharingan)

13. Tsunade (as sannin)

14. Minato (as yellow flash, blink-eye elimination and as the most talented prodigy ninja of leaf)

15. Hashirama (3rd arc, failed against sarutobi)

And so much more, well it’s a big let down when you are shown so many things with glamor and invincibility and then they are dragged in the mud….

I just hope now kishi doesn’t drag away the 4 hokages…

No but seriously, I get what you're saying, but don't agree with part of it. You're missing the fact of Chronological Order. That's like saying, "Goku was supposed to be the only SuperSaiyan, but now everyone else is". If the anime continues, it has to make advances; how boring would it be if Goku remained the only SuperSaiyan, then he would be the only protagonist who was relevant.

To keep the average reader interested, the story always has to get bigger. What looks unbeatable today, will be beaten tomorrow. There will always be someone stronger or bigger. That's just how the story is written. Think about the first episodes and where we are now. First they threw knives, now they are blowing up mountains, what will be tomorrow?

No but seriously, I get what you're saying, but don't agree with part of it. You're missing the fact of Chronological Order. This pretty much. It's like every longer anime; abilities are introduced and then become more standard (even though something as the rinnegan is still extremely rare, considering only three people in the current time have used it and it is actually only one pair shared around) as the show progresses.

pretty much true, though I am not sure if the trolling effect has to do so much with the fact that every power or person is downplayed at some moment (which is a good thing, it would be horrible if sth or someone was so perfect that they couldn't be taken down), or it has to do with the way the plot rolls every now and then.

Situations create different circumstances, but some piss me off too. I just try not to over think it, it's just a weekly manga to enjoy, and nothing is absolute.
