Kishi, the Ultimate Sakura Basher

I'm honestly getting very tired of that lack of anything Sakura gets in Gaiden. She says that she can't remember if Sasuke wears glasses, since she hasn't seen him in a long time, although she could have easily said that he didn't wear any the last time she saw him. She accidentally destroys her house, which makes her look like a reckless idiot, and passes out. I've always been a fan of Sakura, and still am despite all this. I just feel like she had so much potential and it was never released. Kishimoto is harder on her than any other character, minus Itachi. I can't be the only one who feels this way, right?

I agree with this one but I see your frustration when it comes to one of your fav characters being constantly put down.

Not bash, perhaps, but he certainly doesn't allow her to use her skills, he hasn't for a fair amount of Shippuuden. Bring up that Sakura has a knack for genjutsu, never has her use it. The only major fight Sakura had was against Sasori. She gets knocked out during the fight against Kabuto at the bridge in Grass. Granted, taking down one of Pein's summons in one punch was a nice nod to her skill, she doesn't get to do much after that. Took down some juubi clones, did nothing against Kaguya until the last second, which seemed more like an afterthought.

Yes, it's about the next generation, so we see most of the main characters from the main manga conscious, if nothing else. Naruto gets some action/playing time with Boruto, Sasuke gets a brief fight, Shikamaru and Sai gets to use jutsu. Sakura gets to punch the ground, destroy her house, and collapse. She just appears to be the butt of the joke or Kishi's afterthought for quite some time.

I agree with this one but I see your frustration when it comes to one of your fav characters being constantly put down.

I would be more understanding if there was any reason for her always being the one being "put down." She seems to get trolled the most and she doesn't do anything to deserve the negative attention all the time. You're right, it is very frustrating. I'm sure the people who love Hinata felt the same way for a fair amount of Shippuden before the war.

I think it's just because she is essentially the normal person among the original team seven members and so people look down upon normal especially when compared to a legendary clan and a tailed beast vessel.

The readers do, definitely. It's not a fair comparison since her starting point was so far behind Naruto and Sasuke's. It's one thing for readers, but it's another when Kishimoto does it to her. He made her normal on purpose and I don't think the rest of the "regular" ninja are belittled as much by him.

yea I guess that would suck but for me I appreciate having at least one person that isn't op as @#$% that still proves to be a useful member of a god team.

How sad, I didn't know that he said that :NO: Then again, I know he had said he likes Hinata and she doesn't get much time to shine either, though she did get a movie and some nice panels in the war.

There are many empty statements when it comes to Sakura.Among all the major characters, she is the one who lack originality. Basically, if she were not in Naruto's team to receive the new Sannin boost, she would be of no significance. Look at these:

1. As a Gennin (I mean child) she had only one potential - that is to be able to detect genjutsu. Apart from this, she was useless.
2. A potential for Yin made her a medic ninja. Even with that and after receiving the teaching of Tsunade, it was an asspul that she got a strength and speed boost similar to Tsunade.
3. She got taught all Tsunade's techniques against all biological prior. Even if Sakura can use Byakugu, she is n neither Uzumaki, nor Senju, nor an hybrid of the two. Thus, her body cannot sustain multiple regeneration or constant strain as Tsunade.

In Short, my opinion is that Sakura should not have been that far. Kishi has done actually far greater than he should for Sakura.

1. No, her defining trait was her intelligence, which is not a trait that can be taught. Shikamaru and Temari are the only other characters that have their intelligence mentioned. Brains > brawn. Kakashi has iterated on multiple occasions that she has a knack for genjustu, not merely dispelling it. She is only seen dispelling it, true, but she was given the capacity to cast it, Kishimoto just never had her do so.
2. Chakra enhanced strength requires perfect chakra control, beyond that of the average medical ninja, which Sakura has, so it makes perfect sense. Shizune admits to Sakura's superior control over her own. If you recall, before her training with Tsunade, when she fought Ino in the Chunnin Exams, Sakura's punch sent Ino flying across the area, so she has some natural strength to begin with. Not as much as Tsunade, but enough to make the skill logical in the timeskip.
3. Tsunade's regeneration shortens her lifespan because cells can only divide a finite number of times. It does not matter that she is a Senju descendant, that is a fact of all humans. Sakura does not have to be Senju to force her cells to divide rapidly, it merely requires perfect chakra control and an extremely large buildup, a few years worth.

So you're saying that because Sakura was not given ungodly advantages since the very beginning she shouldn't have improved at all? Kakashi's clan didn't give him an advantage and he's formidable in battle, in the battles we saw with Hiruzen none of his techniques were clan related and he is cited as one of the strongest. Might Guy can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu and he is very powerful and that has nothing to do with a clan. Just because a character isn't in a clan with automatic power-ups doesn't mean that they cannot improve and become strong the hard way.

She could break out of genjutsu, when the others didn't know how. Kish really set her up to keep pace with the other members but sadly, that stopped.

Sakura's jutsu:

1. bushin no jutsu

2. Tsunade's medic jutsu and punch

3. Tsunade's sannin boost

These are all Sakura's jutsu - oh there is seeing thru minor genjutsu.

Note: Chakra control is not jutsu.
