Kishi taking far too long to reveal the Rikudou Sennin's face unobscured?

It was just over 5 years that the Rikudou Sennin was first shown (Googling "naruto chapter 373 youtube" reveals that it was released in early Oct. '07). While I know Kishi likely is waiting to reveal his actual face, don't you think waiting 5 years (he also waited years to finally give us a full view of Tobi's face) to show his face is being lazy? I don't understand why Kishi is still stalling to reveal the face of this Inuyasha-looking character.

Also, about how many centuries ago do you think the Rikudou Sennin died in the story? I know that the Great Toad Sage is centuries old and he probably about the same if not older than when the Sennin died. I am think at least 1000 years old.

As several others have pointed out, the Sage's face is irrelevant to the story. It's entirely possible that we'll never see it. I don't know why you care.

It would be kinda lame to not reveal what the sage actually looks like. Afterall we have been getting glimpses of what he looks like.

Well, there are no characters alive that knew the So6p, I guess the Tailed beasts would count, but it wouldn't make it that interesting. Maybe if the So6p was revived and said something like "oh Madara, you've grown into such a villain from when you where a child.", then that would make an interesting story.

Obito's face was revealed because of his ties with Kakashi and Madara, Kishi could have kept us guessing by having Naruto's Rasengan just make his head explode with gooey brain matter, then make some back story told by Madara about how it was Izuna or something.

He's basicaly itachi, with rinnegan and narutoBM hair, only in grey.
What kyuubi menat whenm he said "Six... Paths" after naruto took his chakra was: Wow, you have the same hair as the Sage of the six paths.
