I genuinely think Kishi doesn't care, this was Kishi's chance to answer all the questions with the Obito flashback. There will probably be another small flashback explaining Rins death but there are still many questions gone unanswered and I don't think they ever will be answered.

1. How did Obito know the 9 tails seal weakened at child birth?
2. How can Obito control the 9 tails with ms and not ems?
3. How did 14 year old Obito compete with Minato?
4. Why did Obito's right arm get cut off against Minato when his left one was the one with senju dna?
5. When and how did Obito control Yagura?
6. How did Madara implant the rinnegan into Nagato without his parents noticing?
7. How did Madara get to the underground passage and take a sharingan on the verge of death?
8. How do Obito and Danzou know each other at the Uchiha Massacre?

Kishi's answer to all these questions are 'I Dont care anymore about it'. **** you Kishi.

3. Intangibility is something that Minato had never fought before and is a rather confusing ability.
Add Obito gaining Senju Dna and well, he still couldn't stand a chance against Minato's skill level
4. No, it was his right side.. The side that was visible when the boulder was on him was his left side which
escaped harm and it was from this side Kakashi got Obito's sharingan
5. He controlled with his sharingan. Think it was Ao who noticed the ability was the same (could mean similar) as Shisui's.
I think he might have lost it from izanagi use vs Konan and that the ability wasn't from his original eye.
