Kakashi was the most (or one of the most) powerful characters in Naruto, when they started introducing newer strong characters in shippuden people forgot how strong he was.
Also IMO he should be way higher up the top(most powerful) list, he is a non-uchiha and still awakened Mangekyou! Why does no one else think that puts him straight into the top?
But because of Kakashi's attitude he does not have the drive for power - much like Shikamaru (IMO those 2 + Itachi could develop way more advanced abilities and get even stronger if they really wanted to, they could be really powerful)

Your right, the son of the white fang, the best student of minato, graduated top of all and learnt a thousand jutsu.
The thing is like we know naruto is that strong yet he is still considered a genin, some times its not what you do bt how you do it and the impact your actions weight on the village.
Kakashi knows so many jutsus but cnt improve them to even better jutsus yet for naruto's sake, he only uses wind elements and has improved them.
Yet i think kishi still remembers him, besides, he was going to become the six hokage if tsunade didnt recover so i think he is in good company.

I agree. Kakashi should be regarded as a Kage level ninja. He was even considered for the position. He stood up to Orochimaru during the chunin exams. After everything his done I think he should be stronger than the sannin, I mean he has the mangekyo and isn't even an uchiha.

You, my friend, have accurately described my thoughts.

I mean, COME ON.

Kakashi stated that he wouldn't have had to make the chidori if he could have mixed his lightning chakra with the rasengan. So what does that mean? It means that Kakashi mastered the rasengan BEFORE he made the chidori, most likely at a younger age than even Naruto! Then, he created his own ELEMENTAL technique. Sure, it was incomplete, but give him props. Kakashi was amazing.

Oh, and everyone already knows that Kakashi graduated from the academy at 5 and became a chunin at 6. Look at that, a little toddler running off to do what teenagers work hard to accomplish!

And what now? He's kind of lagging... The fudge man...
