By not allowing them to use anything except Taijutsu.Think about it did any Hyuga show any Genjutsu or Ninjutsu feat ?

For example look at Madara,Itachi,Sasuke of the Uchiha clan. Their Genjutsu is powerful,Ninjutsu too, even their taijutsu is extremely good.

Kishi had to restrict Hyuga clan or they would be unstoppable.But you had to respect Hyuga´s ,even restricted with Taijutsu only they are still the strongest clan in Konoha.Those Hyuga´s

In part one he basically introduced them to have the ability to not only seal chakra

but if their REAL gentle fist (not the taijutusu but the chakra emmiting itself) (compare when a hyuga faces a hyuga and the recent Boruto vs Hanabi fight were she didn't emit anything out of here chakra points, besides rotation) actually touched the user it would cause inner damage.

I think Kishi downplayed their abilities since Part 1. When it was later revealed Kaguya had Byakugan, her abilities felt underwhelming.
