Obito can't absorb with part of his body intangible. If he went head on with Minato we can assume he expected to be faster, thus a head to head he would remain solid for. Clearly he didn't react in time.

Obito can't absorb while part of his body is intangible. That doesn't mean he cant hit ppl while part of his body is intangible. He just can't absorb them.

^This. He can only do one at a time. He let the kunai pass through, then stopped kamui so he could grab Minato and suck him in. But Minato used the FTG v2 and struck him before he could react. Kamui doesn't activate automatically to prevent attacks; it only works if Obito can react in time as well and send that part of his body away. Minato (the fastest Shinobi alive) out-maneuvered him and attacked in such a way that he couldn't react properly, so he got hit. That's all there is to it.

No he didn't. In that fight Minato's FTG lvl2 came as a surprise to Obito, therefore he couldn't react to it fast enough.

Obito was trying to warp Minato with Kamui, and for him to do that, he has to be solid. And at the exact moment he was going to do just that, Minato ported above him and hit him while he wasn't intangible. No time for Obito to react...
