Actually Kishi believed that Naruto should be with Sakura and he felt bad for putting hinata since he just wanted another busty female, and after hinata admitted her feelings like that to Naruto it would make Naruto look like a huge jerk for just being with Sakura as clearly hinata deserves him but kishi felt bad for it, so there was no way Naruto could do besides be with hinata otherwise he'd look like a jerk. Regardless every fan should have known that naruhina was confirmed since the pain arc, all who thought otherwise was in denial.
