Could this be a factor? I read an interview [awhile back] which had kishi saying that He had a hard time drawing Neji and some others. Since Neji died, I been thinking, Does kishi kill off people that might be too hard to draw to save him time or is it purely on plot progression?

What do you think?

No, that's a stupid reason.

Maybe. He even stopped drawing the outfit that Sasuke had in the chunin exams because it was difficult to draw. Had Sasuke been irrelevant, he might be dead:cool:

plot progression. If you look at all the deaths of akatsuki or main characters they make 100% sense.

He once stated that sasuke is one of his favorites to draw BECAUSE he's hard.

stupid question eh?

Maybe so. indeed it makes sense

so true

He might take it into consideration a bit, but in reply to your thread he does it mainly to advance the plot.

i agree, purely to advance the plot. I'm trying to get in Kishi's head in this haha.

Neji? Neji seemed more basic compared to other ninja. TenTen is more complicated than he is, yet she's sticking around. She wears cylinders on her back, those shapes are freaking difficult to get right! It seems silly to take difficulty as a reason for writing out the deaths of characters, just on Neji alone. Neji was more about the turning point of the war and reestablishing Naruto's resolve.
i guess. What i meant to say was Neji in part 1 was difficult for Kishi to draw with Neji's jacket and belt lines, But he changes his design in part 2. I guess it's silly to think that he kills people due to being difficult to draw.
I'm sorry but i lol'd so much

Correction: He's hard to draw.

OT : Nope, i wouldn't respect him if he did that.
i don't blame you.

I can see where you're coming from but I highly doubt a professional author getting paid would kill off a character because he is hard to draw :|

He doesn't even have to draw Neji that much since he isn't a main character.

Seems really lazy to me.

well ofcourse that would be lazy and unprofessional, But i think it might have a little factor in who kishi decides to kill off [10% factor]

People get PAID to draw the art. If they kill off characters because they're to hard to draw then the Artists aren't doing their job.

He only mentioned that part 1 Neji was hard to draw because of those bandages he wore all the time. Nothing more, nothing less.
