It was all nice and dandy until Naruto was mentioned to be The Child of the Prophecy. Which basically implies that everything Naruto will achieve and achieved was and will be destined to be. Consequently that kind throws all that nice hard work effort aside.
Which is kinda of a bummer specially for Neji who died thinking you could overcome destiny because of Naruto, I find it ironic.
Yeah, but the Prophecy itself left everything to chance once it said the Child would either destroy or save the world... Which means it ultimately is up to Naruto to decide what to do, how and when. Because of the fact that Naruto struggled so hard against fate in part 1 now you may think it's ironic that he has such a thing on his shoulders. But it's not. One thing is to think that you can't change the circumstances you are living through because you were destined to live them (Neji in part 1) and another thing, way different, is to know that there is a path ahead of you and that you're expected to cross it, no matter how you want to do it (Naruto part 2)

I think part of it is that Naruto was initially born ready to have all of this natural talent, but with his parents' deaths he was stuck with nothing.

Him being able to do so through hard work as well as his mind set really show him off. He wasn't really a genius Luke his father at all. Except he came up with good last minute strategies. He also gained the power I'd Kurama by defeating him and then befriending him.

Though it seems like he went from average Joe to natural born powerhouse....he really wasn't as he ended up having to do it all alone at first.

wow just wow. the story has progressed and his hard work has paid off. how is that contradictory? was he supposed to never improve?
This, was he supposed to be at the same level and a underdog forever? The fact is that he was a underdog but worked his ass off to get to the point where he is now and being the son of the 4th and being from the Uzumaki clan means nothing besides the fact that he actually had two extreme loving parents and is from a clan that was very strong but that is only expected he is the main character and hero. Would you prefer for the hero of the story to keep going on without knowing that he had two very loving parents? I wouldn't, that's sad.

Didn't Neji say that everyone's fate is decided since birth and then Naruto told him he was wrong, and now we know that Naruto fate was destined before he was born to do all of this.
In a nutshell yes Neji did stated back in the chunin exam arc "fate is something decided at birth and that no matter what one does, people cannot escape their destiny" and Narutos counter argument was "fate was not predetermined". Again yes, we learn that in part 2 Naruto is the Child of the Prophecy, after the fight against Tobi Minato came to the conclusion that Tobi will destroy the world and that his son will save the world, which Kurama was sealed in Naruto. Basically Neji was right all along and does contradict the Naruto vs Neji fight. What made it worse Naruto accepts the role of a savior during his fight A Naruto said "Faith that I could fulfill the role of a 'saviour!", instead saying no to it and fight his ninja way by that I mean Naruto doesn't use his old principles.

On being the child of prophecy he never knew he was going to be that & it's basically saying never judge a book by it's cover because people thought Kurama was evil because of the destruction it caused but he was just really angry & had trust issues with humans. Naruto saw past that & wanted to be his friend, come to find out Kurama isn't evil he was just misunderstood & the people were very ignorant & judgmental about him that they labeled Naruto an outcast because he had Kurama inside him. The people of Konoha only saw a monster but the only knew a portion of the story but Naruto just wanted acceptance & through all his hard work & passion he earned the respect & love he always wanted.

THIS

OT: Though, if you really think about it. Think back from part one, how it's pretty related to " ninjas ". Then by the second part, it's all DBZ hadouken and BOOM BOOM big powers and what not.

To everyone, I understand story progression, but the one that bugs me the most is thr Child of thr Prophecy thing. He is destined to either save or destroy the world. We know that Naruto is probably NOT gonna destroy it. As said before this throws out all the hard work after thr Invasion of Pain.
