Weren't those Itachi's weapons? Aren't they part of his Susano'o the same way that a bow and arrow are part of Sasuke's? And the Susano'o are individualized. If so, Itachi took it with him when he died. It doesn't seem that all weapons in the Narutoverse are items in the sense that would be expected; a thing that can be carried and traded around.

The same way that when Obito became the jinchuuriki of the Juubi, he had the So6P's weapons. He didn't have to go to some treasure chest or buried chamber or temple to retrieve it. He simply had them all of a sudden.

The thing is, Itachi was said to have found them and Orochimaru was looking for it, which is led to believe that it wasn't originally a part of Itachi's Susano'o.
