Oh, it's easy to vaguely create one character in the beginning and throw the readers for a loop when he/she's introduced in a plot device later: It's called "establishing relevancy".

The relevancy of this vague character in the beginning is to establish credence as to why Kakashi values Teamwork so much. Having this vague character mention does not imply to an evolution in the story.

I agree. I think it is very stupid so think that kishi just makes stuff up as he goes. None of you understand business. A client cannot come up with a manga/anime, and not have the full story. He will not get money that way. If that was the case, he would be pressured to have new material all the time. and if he does make stuff up as he goes, that leaves plot holes in the story. Everything must be written out BEFORE anything can publish. Maybe you guys need to learn MORE about business and how the anime and manga companies work.

I would say that most writers know what the final outcome of the story is before they even begin to write. The main thing is that they can use any means necessary to get to their final goal. For a story that is as long as Naruto is, you have to know that changes are going to be made. You may decide you like one character more than you do another character. Or you may need a major turn of events to make a dramatic moment to keep your fans interested in your work. Otherwise the story would have been over a long time ago because we would have all lost interest. Yet having main goals that link every part of the story together, such as the one that you have pointed out, is a very viable thing for a writer to do.

Wait Kishi admitted that Obito was not always the planned antagonist, I'm sorry but his character and his similarity to Naruto make me think that his concept and personality was planned from the beginning to be the main antagonist

your response shows you don't understand me. nothing I said was pertaining to I seen in those pics. I said what I said, because I know business. and I know you need to have the ENTIRE story planned out before the board of directors, in order for your work to be published. so yea, he may make adjustments here and there, BUT ultimately, kishi knew who was going to be the villain, and how the show would end.

Not possible, change is part of everything. Kishi had to change somethings at one point, for example i once read that Sasuke was never suppose to be a main character in NV.
