I think I may have found another one. Have you ever seen Samurai Jack? Well in the final season, there is this dark and abstract episode called seasons of death where Jack passively undergoes trials for each season.
For summer, he travels across a a desert and this wraith attacks him over and he cannot harm it no matter what he tries, but he eventually realizes he's overheated and that it's a mirage.
For fall, as he walks through this forest during autumn, this strange little imp scientist/shaman, not sure exactly who or what he was used science and magic to taint the well in the forest. Whoever drank from the well would turn to leaves. Jack escaped by luring the imp out and faking drinking it since he sensed the guy's presence the whole time. When the imp came up to him to check him, jack turned around and threw the water onto his face and into his mouth, and he turned into leaves instead.
For winter, he fought this viking in these snowy mountains that forged this ice sword that could manipulate ice and frost.
Finally, for spring, it seemed this one would be peaceful at first. Jack went through this forest of budding thorns and all of a sudden it turned into a vast green forest with this beautiful nymph or nature spirit, not sure what she was greeting him. She tried to coax him with her words beauty and hugging him, saying that he had fought enough and that he should rest and stay with her there forever, but just before he fell asleep, he remembered his quest. However, when he tried to leave, she forced him down and attacked him with her vines. When he charged at her, she vanished into a poof of flower petals and the forest reverted back into the thorns revealing it was an illusion the whole time. Still looking for her, he ran off in another direction while it showed her peeking out from one of the trees smirking back at him. And that was the end of the episode.

He didn't say he was. By the sounds of it, he's just looking for parallels and means something may have inspired Kishimoto to create the infinite Tsukuyomi idea.
