Oneshots aren't cannon. Naruto was a oneshot just like Mario at one point, which plot wise was completely different than the Naruto we have now.

I think kishi is bad at writing very long series because he seems to rush it later on like with the war arc in some aspect's. If he goes with mario, hopefully he doesn't make it as long as naruto.

In the Naruto pilot chapter he didn't have a fox inside him, he was a fox. The ninetails was his dad. He rode around on a scooter in a city with cars and was from a magical mountain. His pranks included taking a dump on someone's bed and giving another boy a golden shower. He was sent to the human world to learn how to make friends, and he drank beer offered to him by strangers. He was threatened with firearms, and solved mysteries with his inhuman sense of smell.
