I saw something that caught my eye but ignored it until now on:

Why did Kisame immediately identify Tobi as Madara? Surely that must mean that 'Tobi' and 'Madara' are some what related OR the same person...

Its got me thinking...

As far as I know madara controled a few mizukage (correct me if im wrong) so what if this tobi guy was also being controlled by madara through gentjutsu or something?

maybe back then the real madara was the masked man ...a stupid argument, but he had long hair xd, and now we have some1 else taking the same mask and claimed that he was madara(tobi)

But he was talking about his face, so that means that Tobi has to have the same face as Madara.

I think that who controlled the Mizukage was Tobi himself and not Madara and he pretended to be Madara already back then...

When tobi revealed himself to be controlling yagura back when he had long hair he claimed to be madara and he showed kisame his face so when he showed his face again its the same face from before and tobi said he was madara before so kisame knows him as madara. I thought everyone knew this, clearly I was wrong.

All Ninja School books most likely have a detailed information about the most Legendary Uchiha and the most legendary Senju : Namely Madara and Hashirama.

Kisame was well aware of this.

And at that moment , he identified Tobi as Madara.

There is no way , that Kisame can be mistaken by it.

Tobi valued Kisame on a level as he values Zetsu.

There where no secrets behind them I suppose.

Tobi still can amaze me..

I believe that Madara was actually alive back then.

I also believe Tobi is a creation of Madara using Izanagi. (sort of mimicing the creation jutsu of the so6p)

It explains Tobi is a shell, made to be sorta like Madara - but lacking the soul.

It explains Tobi's plan, lack of a name (as he is a creation) and Tobi's knowledge of the naruto verse.

It explains why Tobi has the Hashirama plant thing as well.

It explains Tobi using 9T @ series start.

I honestly believe Zetsu is also a failed attempt of Madara trying to bring his brother back to life.

Would explain Zetsu's loyalty as well as the recording ability :)

Dunno, can't wait to see!

back to OP - perhaps Kisame knew way more than the manga\show let us believe. He did die like a boss protecting vital information right after "Madara" showed himself to Kisame.

This exactly why, people should stop making shit up. Kisame asks who he is to the guy controlling yagura and tobi deceived him by saying he is madara. Later when tobi unmasked himself again kisame remembers that face from back then and because tobi said he was madara kisame knows him as that, madara. No bullshit like he has the same face as madara or he is under genjutsu or that he is a zetsu. /rant over

Izuna and madara are twins right why could It not be. Izuna that kisame seen that day I would thank Tobi if he was izuna could use the fact that he was a twin to Madara Uchiha the legend to his advantage.kisame could infact have seen izuna. just some thing wondered

They are not twins, Izuna is younger. Even in that case if they were twins Tobi didn't need to use the mask

And one more thing, we know that Tobi and Madara know each other, therefore Tobi clearly knows what Madara looks like, just like everyone else.
I don't think that it is very far fetched that using a genjutsu Tobi could make himself look just like Madara.

Remember Henge no jutsu (transformation jutsu)? Simple yet effective.

Even considering this argument, I still think that Tobi and Madara share the same face. A lot of manga pages indicate similarities in their facial features, but that's just my opinion.

Anyway, I still believe that Tobi is still somehow Madara, in one form or another, but just doesn't contain his soul.

Tobi is either Kagami or Izuna. Both of them were alive during the reign of Madara and Hashirama. I am leaning more towards Izuna because Izuna resembled Madara A LOT.

Izuna:

If Kabuto was able to rob Madara's grave for his DNA, what's stopping him from getting Izuna's DNA? Izuna was as strong as Madara when he was alive so why wouldn't Kabuto revive him? He gave a reasoning as to why Shisui and Jiraiya (both extremely powerful) were not revived but he never mentions ANYTHING about Izuna.

I am going to throw a random theory out there.

Izuna did not die. Madara took Izuna's eyes in order to rival Hashirama's overwhelming power. Izuna uses replacement eyes. He is a Uchiha in the sense of blood and body so the eye does not cause strain on him but it has its downsides. One of them being the inability to use use MS.

Out of jealousy, anger and hatred, Madara challenged Hashirama to a death-match in order to gain Rinnegan and Hashirama's powers. Izuna and Madara predicted the death of Madara. Madara obtained the Rinnegan but died. Izuna took the Rinnegan and gave it to Nagato and started working on the Moon's Eye plan. In the future, Izuna would revive Madara using the Outer Path ability.

The abilities he achieved overtime could be the result of ganking Hashirama and Tobirama. Furthermore, Tobirama would likely Izuna's rival like their older brothers. This explains how he could have obtained his Space-Time technique but it does not explain his lack of knowledge on Edo Tensei.

NO ONE seems to acknowledge Izuna. Even Minato thought it was Madara.

Kagami:

Could have been Madara's pupil as Tobirama is clearly seen leading 2 teams in the war. Explains how Tobi would know both the elders, Danzo, Hiruzen. We don't know what happened to him.

He was also under Tobirama's command. Who's to say he wasn't trained by Tobirama?

Kagami is less likely because there's just not that much info on him.

I like this theory this is what I used to think as well, but now more than ever I think tobi is not originally a uchiha..... Here's why

1) izinagi is a uchiha technique ... Tobi said it himself .. We saw last chapter that the uchiha in past generations used izanagi
2) take into consideration #1 we saw tobi use izanagi and told konan( who is neither uchiha or senju) that you need both ... Why would you need both if your an uchiha ? Hmmm
3) his sharingan ability is similar to kakashi's but perfected, he can teleport himself to another dimension just like kakashi's kamui , but like I said perfected.
4) also just like kakasi he always has it active, the reason why he doesn't have to hide it is because he himself has senju DNA which gives him the life force to sustain it , just like danzo needed it to use all those eyes.

Thoughts ? Questions?

I don't think Tobi has the Sharingan always activated because if he had Akatsuki memeber had noticed it since the begining

One of the most troubling things about Tobi is that his Sharingan is always active. To me this implies a transplant just like Kakashi. From what I understand when someone of non uchiha blood takes a sharingan they are unable to deactivate it.

Itachi could keep his sharingan active for extended amounts of time, so this could be the case with tobi as well.

Kisame identified him as Madara b/c he looked like Madara at the time. He looked different than the "current" Tobi b/c his hair was long like the current Madara's (edo) hair is. Tobi has always been shown with short hair like when he attacked Minato. I think he called him Madara b/c he looked like Madara and had the Sharigan.
