Do you think that that Kisame, instead of feeding himself to his sharks, should have gone into one shark's mouth and then then use reverse summoning technique to get to the land of the sharks and make a quick escape, just like Kabuto did with Manda II? Or was the issue just that he wouldn't be able to fit in the shark's mouth? He was capable of fitting inside Samehada though...

He either had to die like that or become the final bad guy after using samehada to steal the Juubi from Madara. Either one would have been a fitting end for such a boss.

If the akatsuki had lived the war would have been easily won by Obito/Madara, they all had to be killed off one way or another for progression which is sad to say but it gave us more to watch. But kisame was a true shinobi along with itachi and its no surprise they were paired up because both were true shinobi.

kisame was to chivalric and beautiful for this world. he went to join Godking Tobirama in the afterlife for the ultimate water style battle.
