Zexion, that was his original heart that Kakashi pierced, we both know this, correct? If it wasn't, and let's say it was a stolen Heart with the blood of another shinobi in it, Hidan's ritual would not have effected Kakuzu in the slightest. Kakashi had to pierce the original heart. OR, OR, all the hearts now have the same blood in them, Kakuzu's as it flows about to keep them alive. Either is an answer.

Kakuzu wins high difficulty. Fighting Kakuzu is like fight 4 different people. The water dome is cool, but it's not really meant for two opponents.

Before mentioning of Water Clones, they're not strong to deliver a final blow.

Liquid thread thing was wrong yes. Although blood is blood, just like fish have different blood then humans, Kakuzu may still have different than humans as well. But yeah Hidan thought it was Shikamaru's.


Anyways basically:

-Kakuzu has no way to separate the Oxygen from the other elements in the atmosphere that when taken in by a human would prove to be toxic. Which is what the lungs basically do but sadly he has none. Especially when in their separate mask monster forms as its just a mass of threads,nothing else (and especially when in an arm).

-Kakuzu has no blood flow as seen when he's casually detaching limbs and blowing holes in his back without any blood being shown and guess what regulates blood flow? Oxygen .-.

-Blood shown was left over from the shinobi he took them from as we clearly see he takes them when they are still living and beating and will retain blood for however long they are there, ESPECIALLY when kept AWAY from the air, as the air is what causes them to wither anyways, so that actually helps my point.

-Hidan's ritual needing blood means nothing, as the hearts are all his, as obviously shown as blood from a heart destroyed still afflicted a living beating heart, and not some dead fodder getting a hole in his corpse.
