Itachi's idology will fail him here, as he will assume Kisame has a weakness and will fight accordingly, trying to figure out what it is.

Unfortunately, Itachi is dead wrong.

Hmm...Just recalling a ribcage of Susano'o prohibiting Mei's suspended water molecules in the air mingled with corrosive acid in the form of a mist from Sasuke while still allowing him to breath; more or less that Susano'o may act as a filter for breathable air even against something as small as water molecules especially since it's inner portions around the user are composed of it's material.

Then Itachi breaths in the dome once he activates Susano'o. Also, given Amaterasu's properties as fire; specifically referring to it's ability to spread on it's own as a means to ignite an entire target area and the fact that it would burn Suiton---Itachi can ignite Kisame which would result with an unstable Samehada which should naturally diminish movement and Itachi swims to the bottom of the dome, and has Susano'o dig a passage underground.

Itachi would have to activate Susano'o before being emerged into WD or his Susano'o would be water-filled. I see what you're saying though. Since Susano'o becomes a solid object it must trap air in its confinement. That thought is original asf FodderWaltz. ;)

It won't be water filled, the chakra within Susano'o will push the water molecules out as it is being formed around the user.

Then water comes back in again from under the susanoo.

Erm...Nope. Just as Mei's lava did not 'seep in' beneath Madara's Susano'o ribcage nor did her Suiton seep in beneath Sasuke's ribcage. It was completely deflected by the chakra even at the bottom parts.

You're missing the fact that Susanoo is covering the user from head to toe, but isn't covering under them. For example you put a cylinder with its bottom open on a table, and then pour some water on the table. The water just reaches the body of the cylinder, and stops there. Water doesn't go under the cylinder. Now drop the same cylinder inside water, and the water goes inside of it. Same thing with Susanoo. Gaara was able to get Madara from under the susanoo.

Your cylinder reference is quite incorrect. When a Susano'o is suspended in a fluid it provides defenses both above and below the user.

Same thing with Susanoo. Gaara was able to get Madara from under the susanoo.
Due to Madara making contact with the ground; Susano'o could not provide a defense directly beneath his feet where the contact was being made; Garra utilized this as a means to drag Madara out of the Susano'o.

An entirely different scenario.

Sure, you seem to be right on this one. But to me it seems to be situational. But It's one of those situations, so it goes to you.

This is complementary to the previous part of this post, which you are correct.

His webbed hands prevents all hand signs based on his design and body structure in general

I see that makes sense. WD is doubled edge sword then.

Ey Evani, I've got a few questions relating to this strategy. The first being - How are clones going to be confusing Itachi? To a man who can easily take in Kisame's top speed and react to it, he shouldn't be distracted or unable to recall the original's position. Based off of physical capabilities alone, Itachi should know who is and who isn't a clone, considering the strength of the Mizu Bunshin's are a tenth of the original.

Which also brings me to my next point, Itachi will immediately recognize Kisame from the crowd, based on the fact that he'll have chakra that dwarfs the clones, and Itachi's sharingan can see quantity of chakra [ ]. At the end of the day, the Kisame using large scale suiton is the target, unless this is a ploy to just fuse. Which would be sorta meaningless, as he could just fuse and still get the same end result.

Fine point bro and apologies for the late reply, mad busy. I believe the mechanism behind the clones is what prevents them from figuring out the real from the fake.

A Sharingan user falling prey to a water clone: .

There are multiple examples asides that of Shadow clones which is the only one known to half the user's chakra albeit the others are unknown except with crows.

-----> http://narutobase.net/manga/Naruto/580/14/-----> Pretty sure Clay clones don't work like Shadow clones but then we have the fact that Kakashi failed to do so.

Yet we see Sasuke being surprised showing that the Sharingan doesn't enable them see behind this trick.

Kisame can use large Suiton but the only Jutsu in particular that I believe his clones can't use is Water Dome because that is his most powerful. Not sure about GSB but his chakra pool is ridiculously large that 10 percent of the original shouldn't be as weak to carry it. Unless it is his most powerful then no they shouldn't be able to. 10 percent of Kakashi's clone could at least spit out something of Tobirama's level which was considered high leveled from what I recall.

Assuming they are unable to, they are more than enough to distract Itachi enabling Kisame to carry out his powerful moves...On top the water they stand, there would be sharks below and Kisame's clones can attack from underneath or from a blind spot. They can also absorb chakra so physical attacks are Itachi's way of bringing them down and they are endowed with the same Taijutsu as the original according to the databook.
