Well I guess I overlooked that. I never thought the manga would contradict itself like that. So I'm guessing any pain body can do it for it to avoid contradiction. I guess this concludes this battle: Deva wins with Gezo.

To answer the OP question Yes GSB can absorb the ninjutsu black orb.

Only Deva was shown summoning it, not really sure about the other paths.
If Kisame could react fast enough to CT, then sure, why not. But it's very unlikely if he had no info on the technique.

Deva cannot be the only body (1/6) or it will be a contradiction in the manga. Because the manga clearly states (with the scan i showed you) that 1 body can only do one path. Since Deva doesn't have summoning path and needs Animal Path to summon his own Deva body in the field, that would means wouldn't need the other path to begin with because he could also do summoning. I am stilling having doubts that Deva could even summon Gezo in battle form.

If you believe Deva would start the battle with CT then there is no argument from here. He is basically in Kakashi position as Kamui from the very start. Deva will lose if he starts with his base moves only. Deva shows that he needs to run for prep. If none of his 2 other jutsu is not going to beat Kisame (As a Scenario ) This leaves Deva no choice but to finish him off with his final move. Kisame fighting him would observe that his attacks are not working to defeat him. Thus running from this battle gives it away unlike charging CT in his face, then Kisame wouldn't know how to REACT from that POSITION.

Only Deva was shown summoning Gedo Mazo. It doesn't equal "Other paths can't summon Gedo Mazo". I know it wouldn't harm to assume that they're able to summon it, but since they weren't shown summoning it, they can't use it in VS threads. Anyway, Animal Path seems to be the only path able to summon it apart from Deva, since it has access to other Rinnegan-exclusive summonings.

Deva wouldn't start with CT, but he would use it if needed. Other than his remarkable Taijutsu mastery and impressive speed shown to rival that of KN6 , he still has Shinra Tensei as defense and Bansho Ten'in as offense , in addition to Pain's special Ninja tool, the chakra disrupting blades that could even pierce the skin of a Sage Mode user .
I believe I've explained why Kisame wouldn't be able to react to CT in time, and I've shown manga pages of Deva summoning Gedo Mazo. Saying he can't use it in battle wouldn't help your case, since you can't summon it if you don't have control over it. So yeah, he can use it in battle just like Obito .
But anyway, I still think Deva Path with Gedo Mazo restricted vs Kisame would go either way, with Deva being the favorite. But Deva with Gedo Mazo wouldn't have much trouble against Kisame, which imo ends this thread.

I was only stating a manga contradiction, that summary had nothing to do with this vs thread.

Woah slow your horses now, All Pain body's lack Taijutsu skills and is no where near to mastery. Where are you getting this.

They are impressive but to go up against Kisame feats of Taijutsu and ninjutsu, he is not taking this. Deva's jutsu's are limited and will only result to win with only CT, with the summoning.

Summing Gedo is the only result for Kisame losing this battle

I never applied that anywhere in my post (that he can't do it). I clearly said Deva wins with Gezo coming into play.

Imma have to go with Fukasaku words and say that pain needs all his bodies to crush his opponents. Taking them out Individuality is the best key to win. I believe every body in the Akatsuki is strong enough to solo a path body individually (of course restricting Gedo) but when all 6 are together they get slaughtered.
