Honestly I would argue back but i'm only watching the episode where Arlong gets introduced right now :')

He can mold the battlefield as he pleases and keep the distance.
Even if Aarlong managed to get close, Kisame is quite durable, so i don't think he would get injured beyond Samehada's healing capabilities.

Oddly enough, I've just started reading/watching OP and i'm currently at Luffy's and Arlongs fight. But, I haven't seen anything suggesting that Arlong can take Kisame in an actual fight, considering all he has done is splash water in peoples faces, and use his super-human strength in tandem with CQC. He ain't got shit on Kisame.

he has shown he can fling water with more force than a gun, becomes stronger than any human in the water, his nose cut a massive stone pillar, and his teeth gnaw through flesh easily
