just read the newest chapter it seems kisame is not to be taken lightly this new form seems to be very strong. i think it is similar to the concepts of sage mode for exaple samehada absorbs chakra without moving as it is a inanimite object untill stirred. now kisame has intergrated it into him self it will continute to absorb chakra basicly meaning he could be stronger than sage mode since he doesn't have to worry about balence also the longer the fight the stronger he gets. only one weakness i can pin point if the ninja has no chakra he wont get stronger the longer the fight. tijutsu could be the only stratergy to fight him or find a way to seperate that sword from him.

what u think?

Yeah it could be similar to sage mode. Samehada could be like Naruto's clones; absorbing and controlling nature chakra. That would make a Sage mode Naruto and Shark mode Kisame fight really interesting...just blow after blow lol like dragon ball z indeed. But, Kisame can absorb Naruto's chakra, while Naruto has even more than Bee, so it looks like a pretty close fight.

Kisame and Samehada are not the same as Sage Mode to me. Sage mode requires natural energy while Samehada has only absorbed tailed beasts and reg. chakra.

Samehada will probably be the end of Kisame because unlike Naruto Kisame has already undergone durastic changes to his physical and who knows maybe the sword has a weakness like an obsorbtion limit or something this is the first time we've really seen Kisame in action so no one knows of the intricate details. and one thing is for sure and that is that Samehada is not inanimate object as it is cleary moving on its own against Guy and KB. I do like the idea but not logical to me I think Kisame's sword is gonna come back and bite him in the ass.

They already showed a weakness, he can only absorb up to 6-tails worth of chakra at a time.

While Kisame is becoming more and more of a rare character (seeing as the Akatsuki members are being eliminated) Killer Bee is also a rare character, being a container for a bijuu. They both have the odds in their favor..

Sakura, Rock Lee, Kiba and Sai are on their way to find Sasuke. It is very likely that they will be led to the area of this fight. Sakura doesn't know that Sasuke didn't actually kill Killer Bee, which will change the picture for her a bit.

Now, as people have said before, Rock Lee doesn't have chakra, or he just can't use it, and would be a perfect match for Kisame..No doubt he will be weakened by Killer Bee but he will be a very big help. He has been briefed on all the Akatsuki members as all of the Konoha ninja's have - not to mention he has encountered Kisame before but was trapped in a bubble of water while Guy fought him. My prediction is that Rock Lee will end up helping Killer Bee fight Kisame. It's a new theory and could go in any direction.

I like your theory, but remember how hard he was to fight a 30% against Gai, he had to open 6 gates

Rock Lee does have chakra. He just cant manipulate it for non-taiujtsu use, so that theory above fails. But it's an interesting comparison (ie. the thread title).

I sort of want both of these characters to survive this battle because I felt they had more in them. KB could be a funny pairup with Naruto as his new master, with regards to controlling the kyuubi and also perhaps sword-fighting (as everyone keeps saying). And I wanted to see Suigetsu square off against Kisame properly for the Samehada. But having them both survive now is going to feel a bit like a cop-out, so it's a lose/lose/lose situation really in that aspect for me lol. Maybe Kisame could extract all the tail-power from KB and leave him alive? I dunno..

No, it still works. I said Rock Lee can't use chakra, but this doesn't matter anyways. He doesn't need the chakra he has to fight, it's all taijutsu. Thanks anyways though ^^

No I meant, even if he only uses taijutsu to fight, Samehada can still absorb his chakra. Without chakra you'll get weaker/faint/die so even Lee needs it lol. I'm trying to think of an example but cant come up with any lol, sorry!

Rock Lee uses physical energy instead of both physical and spiritual to create chakra and form a better stamina. It's why he is called a genius in hard work. Physical energy is built up by physical exercise. He can access his chakra when opening his gates, which would make things difficult when fighting Kisame. I'd like to see what would happen when he is paired up with Killer Bee.

I'd say that Kisame requires the Samehada to gather enough energy first to fuse with him which a Sage clone can do w/o a third factor. They're similar in that they give the user more chakra, strength, durability and possibly speed.

you may be on to something, not having chakra to take would certainly weaken kisame...however all living things have and use chakra...to be without it would mean you were dead.

maybe thats the answer...a jutsu like Oro used against the third, that brings a dead body back...but without any actual chakra of there own?

I'm not going to jump ahead yet. Kisame is used to taking in normal chakra, and has only taken in a little Bijou chakra from the 8-tails. Bijou chakra is very difficult for Jinchuurikii hosts to deal with, and neither Kisame nor Samehada to my current knowledge goes through a Jinchuurikii's training. I have a feeling that Kisame will be quite strong early on, but he will take in too much Bijou chakra and be unable to control it. I wouldn't be surprised if Bee or his Bijou use that as a strategy. He has not mentioned anything about controlling the chakra, just taking it in and transforming it into stamina.

Also, as mentioned, if Kisame swiped on Sage Naruto, he or his sword would turn to a toad stone. Thus, Kisame is a horrible match for sage mode Naruto. Kyuubi mode Naruto should be equally if not infinitely more difficult if the Kyuubi in Naruto has infinite chakra.
