Imo no though he have chakra like a tailed beast but he cant avoid genjutsu.

Samehada would have to be connected to kisame's chakra to alert him about any genjutsu. Seeing as how they are two separate beings with different chakra, i doubt he'd be told by samehada. The only way it could work is if samehada was given kisame's chakra which i don't believe is happened.

They swap chakra back and forth so it could wake him up and it already displayed the ability to protect the weilderif they don't snap to their senses quick enough so effectively yes, absolutely no.
