Kisame with Samehada is strong but he can't beat anyone...He nearly lost to Bee and did lose to Guy.
Only Samehada saved him or gave him his great strength. He wasn't as great without it.

Madara would beat kisame only with Taijutsu, + Kisame can't absorb susanoo, also Madara could bring down Samehada in one jutsu.. Anyway Kisame is Overated here's the list :
Itachi > Kisame
Madara ( Not edo ) > Kisame
Hashirama > Kisame
Naruto > Kisame ( He couldn't see what hits him if naruto's with Kurama )
Nagato > Kisame
Tobi < Kisame ( That's for sure, Kisame is good, and tobi is dumbass )

I agree Kisame is STRONG, but he's not that strong to go against Two strongest shinobies madara and hashirama..

Um, I think it's wrong to say that Kisame can't absorb Susanoo. I mean, Susanoo is basically a chakra cloak, right? And Samehada can absorb chakra, so why wouldn't Samehada absorb Susanoo?

Here's some food for thought... Do you have actual Manga proof of Samehada absorbing Chakra from a non-visible Chakra source? There's only been a few instances where Samehada has absorbed Chakra - Either the Chakra of the Jinchuuriki cloaks, as he did against Naruto in Part 1 and Kirabi in Part 2... Or when Samehada itself actually bit Kirabi : Which implies that Kisame would somehow have to find a way to have Samehada latch onto Madara to even begin absorbing his Chakra, and that a single swipe just won't cut it.

I'm guessing you think Kisame can take on anyone becayse of his chakra absorbing ability. I mean, that's the only reason I really see people saying why he can beat EMS Madara and Hashirama.

If you really wanna go by that, how does he beat Nagato or any Rinnegan user? Nagato can absorb too, In fact, how does Kisame stop these things:

Shinra tensei
Bansho tensei
Chibaku tensei
Getting his soul ripped from him
Getting his own chakra from being absorbed

Yep, Kisame can definitely not solo any pro taijutsu user or any Rinnegan user. (personally I don't think he can beat Hashirama or EMS Madara either).

Actually Kisame does have the potential to defeat any shinobi in this state, he simply lost to plot no jutsu. However, he has what it takes to own all.

1. Madara Uchiha.
2. Hashirama Senju.
2. Naruto Uzumaki.
4. Kabuto.
5. Itachi Uchiha.
6. Nagato Uzumaki.
7. Sasuke
8. Kisame Hoshikagi.
9. Darui.
10. Raikage.
