Chapter 3: Truth
An unconscious Ren wakes up in a bed, he looks around to see a steam punk-but modern building around him. He scratched his eyes and looked down to see him in a change of clothing, he looked around in slight panic and looked everywhere to look for an answer of where he was, he might have had a clue as to where, but he wasn't sure.
Ren: Where...am I?...
Satsuki: Oh, you've finally woken up.
A slender woman walked to Ren's direction to sit down a chair next to his bed. She reached for a small radio in her pocket and instructed the other members to regroup in the bedroom Ren was sleeping in, When they got there, they all had intimidated faces about the person who is "soon" to join them, Ren is displeased by this; but got used to it very quickly.
Satsuki: Now that you're here, it's time to explain things.
Ren looks at the captain with a serious look, he knew that knowing the truth about everything that happened last night at this moment was the most important to him.
Satsuki: Do you know about the Tenebris war that happened three years and the recent rebellion of the Libertatis Potentia?
Ren: !?
Ren was shocked at the first thing Satsuki said, but he decided to keep strong about it and let her finish, he didn't want to let anything about what happened three years ago phase him anymore.
Satsuki: Sorry if the first thing I said brought back any bad memories...
Ren: No, it's fine.
Ren: I definitely heard of the first one since I've experienced it first-hand, but the second one I'm not so sure about...
The young captain sighed and asked Kenzo to find a small tablet that had a video on it. Satsuki handed the tablet over to Ren too watch. When the video reached 2 minutes, Ren was shocked at what he saw. A group of people being publicly executed for protesting the streets, And the way they tortured them is what Ren was shocked about the most. Three years ago, it would just be a slight beating, but this was beyond brutal.
Ren: Did the president or the government ever do anything about this rebellion?...
Satsuki: Half the government of Tenebris and even the president were killed because of the rebellion, by this organization. The city you are in does not know of this at all, that's why we had to spread far to reach this news to you.
Ren: I can't even believing this is happening.
Riku: This is reality.
Ren looks up to Riku as he continues to speak, he speaks really lazily but still has a slightly serious tone as he speaks.
Riku: Everyone here had at least one or two relatives that were killed by a person who has the power of "Potentia."
Ren: That's why we're here.
Satsuki: Riku makes a point, and that point is the main reason you're here.
Ren: You don't mean...
Satsuki: Yes...
Every single member of Kiryoku that is present within Ren's sight looks at Ren with slight smiles and slight sadness.
Satsuki: We know about your parent's death.
Ren: !?
Satsuki: But that brings us to another point.
Satsuki stands up and walks around as he speaks, the tension in the air started to kill Ren, but he beared with it.
Satsuki: Every single one of us in Kiryoku, like Riku said had atleast one or two relatives killed by the people who have the ability of "Potentia".
Satsuki: With this ability, we have the power to embody our relatives will to fight for what we think should happen.
Satsuki brings out her Barrett M82 Sniper Rifle from her back and shows it to Ren.
Satsuki: And their wills embody in one of our weapons to be comrades for battles.
Satsuki: Your dual Katana's too.
Satsuki throws the two sheathed Katana's with red and blue hilts to Ren as he holds them in his tender care.
Ren (In thoughts): Mom and Dad's will are embodied into these?...
Satsuki: These powers can also be used to make secret techniques your parents may know, but for the most part your own, But we'll get into this later.
Satsuki: Now it's time to explain the reason we've requested for your help in this.
Ren once again tension-ed with the air around him, He was ready for anything at this point and was more than easily influenced at this point, or at least he should think.
Satsuki: As you saw in the video, Tenebris is currently in a terrible state, and we need your help to drive this away.
Satsuki: Everyone in Kiryoku, including me has experienced the tragedy of war and have decided to use the powers from our relatives to spread the truth of the war to end this once and for all.
Satsuki: The people of Libertatis Potentia do not know anything about the war and are just using the citizens despair as an advantage to create a "stronger country".
Satsuki: But we realize that if they keep doing things like this, we won't get anywhere.
Satsuki: Do you need me to explain anything el-
Ren: I get it.
Ren gets out of his bed and pats his chest as he speaks proudly to the rest of the members of Kiryoku. His determination and will was nothing to be stopped at this point, his face can tell everyone he was already influenced.
Ren: I'll join Kiryoku and fight for truth!
All of the Kiryoku members smile at Ren as he finishes talking, his face can easily tell everyone he was full of potential for what's to come.
Kenzo: Still, that was pretty easy to influence you, I would've done that myself if Satsuki-taichou allowed me.
Ren: DO YOU WANT ME TO TURN BACK ON MY DECISION RIGHT NOW!?!?
Aiko smiles in the background, all the members of Kiryoku that joined after her made her smile, but she felt as if Ren was something special out of all of them. She faces her head toward the ceiling as she sighed with relief.
Aiko: ...
Ren: Alright, I'm going back to sleep, good night.
Every member of Kiryoku looks at Ren in shock, after all he said, it was probably just something he said out of being tired, every member looked at Ren in shock.
All: EHHH!?!?!?
On the right side of the bed where Ren is sleeping and where no one can see his face, he does a slight smile of relief.
Ren (In thoughts): Mom, Dad...I think I finally found where I really belong!
