I charge my Raiton chakra through my hands and I feel the electricity spreading all over my palms like I have done so many times before, except this time I do one thing different. I turn the lightning purple and then release it in front of me in the form of a purple lightning bolt. However it doesn't get very far.

Excellent.
Let's note ranges a bit.
Short range is 0-5 meters, mid is 5-10 meters, and long is 10-15.

What might be some advantages of being in close range, but some disadvantages as well?

Advantages
Opponent would find it harder to dodge attacks.
Opponent wouldn't have time to make the handseals for attacks because of the small space between you.


Disadvantages
The opponent could attack you easier.
Would be more restricted and you won't have time to use attacks that require lots of hanseals.
Taijutsu or Kenjutsu users could use this as an opportunity to attack you.

Perfect. Because of the close gap, attacks strike faster and are also more stronger. Don't forget Gentle Fist users as well.

Alright, proceed to release Lightning out from around your body - push it out from your chakra points to create some kind of barrier around you. What might this Lightning shield be used for, both offensively and defensively?

I release lightning out from all over my body and force out the electricity out of my skin. I specifically release it from my chakra points to create an electrical barrier around my body.

Offensive uses
Could be used to attack the opponent without actual physical contact


Defensive uses
Would keep the opponent at bay from any taijutsu attacks
Would protect me from incoming attacks even really wide-ranged ones

Description: The user manipulating their chakra generates a plasma barrier around them to serve as a defence which protects them from incoming attacks, even from something as wide-ranged as the Quicksand Waterfall Flow however the user cannot use other techniques besides lightning release or physical based techniques. The user can rush at their opponents even if the barrier is active. The shield can be used offensively, by discharging the electricity in the direction of their choice in a wave resulting in using the energy of the barrier and ending its effects.
Note: Technique remains active for 3 turns.

Alright, focus and condense your Lightning chakra into a ball that goes into midair. Then, in a few moments, release all the Lightning chakra in order to cause a continuous rain of Lightning Bolts to stream down and strike enemies all around it. How might you use this to your advantage in a battle due to such a wide ranged attack?

 

[Rayder]

I focus my lightning chakra and condense it into the form of a orb and send it into the air. It stops in mid-air and I concentrate all my Raiton chakra and dozens of Lightning sparks come falling down and in seconds it soon becomes a continuous pour.

Due to this attacks wide-range it could be used as a deterrent for the opponent and stop him from coming into close-range. It can also be used in combo with a long-range attack so the opponent will be hit by the bolts raining from above and if they move to long or mid range they will get hit while moving by the long-range tech.

Excellent. Keep in mind that since it covers such a wide range as well, it can also be used as a distraction.

Description: The user manipulates their lightning chakra condensing into a orb of chakra and then releasing it into mid air. The lightning orb will then remain in the air for several seconds releasing a continous rain of lightning bolts shocking any enemy within the radius of the attack.

Alright, ready for Chidori?
First start by concentrating all your Raiton Chakra into your hand. Feed enough into the center of your hand...enough to become a crackling ball of energy. Then proceed to run as quick as you can to the rock next to you and slam your result upon it.

Yay Chidori.

I concentrate my Raiton chakra into my right hand. I charge it with more electricity and let the lightning accumulate for a few seconds. It becomes a bright, crackling ball of energy and I hear the sound of chirping ringing in my ears. I run as fast as I can at the rock and push my hand into it with all my strength.

 

[Adachi]

Excellent. So firstly, what do you know of Chidori?
Secondly, what are the dangers of exposing yourself in close range? And where on the human body would you aim this jutsu?

 

[Rayder]

Chidori is a weaker version of the Raikiri, which Sasuke specializes in. It has many different variants and can be conducted into a weapon or released from the whole body. It is best used for piercing and penetrating objects and armours due to its sharp, blade like appearance. It has also been shown to have numbing effects when used on bodies.

If the Chidori failed then I would be in a really vulnerable position since I am so close to the opponent and would find it hard to dodge attacks as Chidori take a lot of strain on the body. I would aim a Chidori either at the heart or the head since those are the most lethal points and Chidori would most definitely kill.

 

[Adachi]

Excellent. Taijutsu attacks are often times instantaneous and extremely powerful and surprising. Also, remember, with master of Chidori, you only need one handseal to utilize it.

Description: The user must first perform the following sequence of hand seals Ox → Rabbit → Monkey → Dragon → Rat → Bird → Ox → Snake → Dog → Tiger → Monkey and they create a lightning jutsu that is concentrated in the user's palm and thrusted toward the opponent at high speed. The lightning in the user's palm sounds like birds chirping, hence the name.
Note: Someone who mastered lightning release can perform chidori with just the Ox hand seal.

I take the giant shuriken and flow my chidori through it giving it an electronic charge. I then toss it at your clone and it is cut by the shuriken which remains wedged in its body. Since the shuriken is coated in Chidori the clone would be paralyzed and its whole body would be numb stopping it from moving, while the shuriken itself deals considerable damage in the process.

 

[Adachi]

Okay, excellent. You covered the basics of the Raiton chakra, however, you are missing one important detail.
Where exactly did you aim the shuriken?
Do you throw it at the head, in order to incapacitate it? Do you aim it at the left side of the chest, for the heart for an instant kill? Or do you toss it at the legs in order to disable their movements? This type of detail is a must if you perform Taijutsu or Kenjutsu.

Be more specific.

I take the giant shuriken and flow my chidori through it giving it an electronic charge. I then toss it at your clones feet to disable its movements. It hits your clones feet knocking its feet out from below him while severely cutting his legs to prevent him from getting up. Since the shuriken is coated in Chidori the clone would be paralyzed and its whole body would be numb stopping it from moving. Aiming for the legs would be more useful than aiming for the head or the heart since they would be in the opponents direct line of sight therefore easier to dodge and harder for me to work up a combo with, whereas in the legs the opponent would be open for another attack which they wouldn't be able to dodge.

Begin running at my clone while charging Lightning into your hands, striking him and knocking him aside as you get near.
How might the charged up Lightning affect him?

I charge lightning into my hands and run at your clone while maintaining the lightning. I then release it as I come near him striking him and knocking him aside.

Since the lightning is unfocused, I'm assuming this move is chidori current, it would paralyze the target instead of harming him. Also it could be used without actual physical contact with the target making it a bit safer and you won't leave yourself open if the attack is countered.
