Lol funny thing is I completely agree with you but people put it in as one of the moves sasuke could use to beat anyone so I figured I would ask because both techniques are on another level of their own.

Its true that wind > lightning, but people forget that when it comes to destruction power Kirin is on other level compared to FRS. Kirin is a technique that completely destroyed very large hill, its completely different than techniques shinobi can perform with their own chakra. Thats why if both jutsus collided with each other, Kirin would most likely win.

I"ll say kirin beats rasenshuriken. As we know wind beats lightning unless certain situations involving a major power difference between the wind and lightning attacks occur. The rasenshuriken is a wind tech and a powerful one at that. The only problem with it going against kirin is that kirin is made not of a lightning technique but with the full raw power of pure lighting imbedded with chakra for shape manipulation. In other words kirin is a jutsu that surpasses what one can do with just mere chakra since it is pure lighting.

More then likely this is what would happen...... they both throw the respected high level jutsu. Now Rasen is a wind based and as it has been shown, its constantly spinning. Now for debating purpose lets say they are aimed at each other and thus conclide. More then likely one of 2 things would happen, Either a: Kirin gets caught in the spinning of Rasen and gets shot at different directions. or B: it gets caught in Rasen and becomes part of the attack heading for sasuke. even in nature, wind has changed the state of lightning, meaning its shape and direction! thats usually why in a storm, the 2 usually come together. I dont see Kirin passing through rasen. The only third option is they either cancel or combined and cause an even bigger explosion. The only thing kirin has is its speed so unless they are not aimed at each other I dont see kirin winning, and if they are not aimed at each other, sasuke aims for the chest and naruto aims for the head, Ironically haha. but then thats beside the point, both parties lose!

also side note, We have yet to see Rasen throw at a mountain, but if you recall, it does leave a huge crater behind, So to say kirin wins in power is an opinion. Also Rasen on top of leaving a crater, destroys internally as well, breaking the chakra network... So you get kirin which is raw power and raen which is raw power plus internal damage!

But, Kirin is thown in a straight line... and while Rasen is also thrown in a straight line, Its also in a constant rotation and throwing some straight at something coming at you and also in a constant spin is not effective, you would either get caught in the spin and not be able to get out, or get caught and it shot out at any point, maybe even missing the target!

Rasenshurigen will become bigger and destroy Kirin and blow every thing because wind style is stronger than lighting, beside Kirin can be used only if the weather was Rainy and there was lighting in the sky and Sasuke must have a lot of chakara to do it.

people are also forgetting Lightning has no mass, Its pure lightning, where as the rasen is generating mass by it spinning, thus when they colide, kirin would attach its self to rasen and come flying back at sasuke!

Haha. Which one is stronger? Natural fire or chakra based water? WATER. Natural lightning is STILL lightning, and lightning loses to wind. If you consider the whole situation with kirin and rasenshuriken, rasenshuriken is a better technique since it doesn't rely on nature, and can be used multiple times in a short time. If they do collide, wind beats lightning, so Rasenshuriken wins. Natural lightning with 1000 W and chakra based lightning with 1000 W have the same power. Where do these people saying that natural lightning beats chakra based wind of similar power come from? Kirin is a very powerful lightning attack, but Kirin would still get absorbed into rasenshuriken, or it would get deflected, most likely. Also, for those of you who is saying that Kirin is a way more powerful technique not couning the lightning and wind thing, you should go back and see a scene in manga or anime where Rasenshuriken actually hits someone.
