I feel like if Kirin was that good, Sauske would be using it more often. He used it once against Itachi, that's all, so in my opinion rasen-shiruken is stronger.

RasenShuriken and Kirin is both One hit KO jutsus, but Kirin is faster. The problem here is that Kirin needs to be prepared correctly and in Sasukes case he was lucky that Itachi used amaterasu. So I will go for RS, it isnt so hard to use it when you already have mastered it. Besides, you dont have all that time to prepare Kirin.

It moves at the speed of lightning(though it varies). Speed of light and speed of lightning are EXTREMELY different.
Lightning has been recorded in slow motion through the use of consecutive shots.
Light has been recorded in slow motion through the use of special techniques, such as continuous beams of lights and right timing of camera shots. By doing this, it'd take A LOT of time to record it. But it's been...
It kind of gives an idea of the difference of speed.


It depends, really.
The rasenshuriken isn't as powerful as Kirin, but Naruto is able to use it more often.
Not only that, it takes less effort and time to prepare.

I'm afraid manga has stated that Fuuton > Raiton.
But I'm also afraid to say that Sasuke's lightning in Kirin > Naruto's wind in RS.
Unless it's an Ultra-Big Ball Rasenshuriken. That thing is scary.

Kirin = Small mountain buster, much faster than an FRS, but extremely slow prep time

FRS = Giant craters, can burn through mountains (Jiraiya's odama rasengan was able to go through mountains according to 3rd databook), slower than Kirin, fast prep time

They both got their pros and cons

Overall, Kirin is the stronger more powerful tech

However, Odama FRS > Kirin
